One thing i find reassuring is that it took a burglary to bring LEO into the Muta empire, and that the online exchange of info was not the weak link.

I don't believe the burglary story. The cops probably reverse engineered the case. It is probably a lot easier to do your surveillance without permission and then go kick in the door of the storage shed. Have someone call it in as a possible break in and viola....looky what we found! Not buying it.
We don't know this to be a fact. Cops could be lying about how they found out. Might have been tipped off by an informant but they don't want the public to know so they make up a story.
The story sounds true but I don't know why he'd put his gear in E-Z storage,I don't think that was very smart,he could have used a much safer location not a storage.

I think his biggest issue will be the money laundering and identity theft issue.
He had no guns and was not violent. Don't get me wrong he had a lot of juice, but it's his first time. According to another article the judge reduced bail to 50,000.00.
So I'm guessing the judge is willing to cut him a small break and give him the minimal he can. I read he was (A) student in his university.

What do you consider hard time. He's gonna get at least 10 years
hard time is prison time. the amount he is going to get will be based on many factors. including age,prior convictions, whether or not the asshole feds get involved,and damage done on victims. which there really isn't any victims he was simply meeting a demand for some substances that have no business being classified as dangerous drugs so i think your estimate of ten years is high but if he does get ten years in most states you are eligible for parole after 50 or 60% of your time is served and you do the rest on paper. if they drag the case out as any smart lawyer would do he will also get time served for his time spent in jail and on house arrest so my guess is he will do no more than 4 years in the penitentiary and the rest of the sentence with be executed on paper. parole/probation.
