There are a few trains of thought here. If you train early then you havent fueled up enough to be able to train hard. Then train to late and you may well be loosing out on eating enough to properly assist in the recovery/growth post workout. I personally train midmorning after i have had 2 good meals then train, that way I have to rest of the day to feed myself and and allow enough quality nutrients to commence the recovery phase. Now I do know that you grow when you sleep thats why I try to have an early afternoon nap for about an hour as well.
I'm an afternoon.. hell even night person.. It's easier for me and I have motivation then as well...
Buildbigger86I am the same love the night workouts but they are getting me so pumped up which is great but also sucks because i can't sleep
I don't sleep very much anyway so it's not change for me... However, sitting in the sauna after working out.. will help relax you a little.
I lift in the evenings, not my preference, but they say sleep is the golden ticket. I'd rather sleep till 6am then cut myself short trying to squeeze weight training into my morning. Personal preference is late morning.
Gotta get it where I can get it. I lift in early evening for convenience more then anything else. I prefer late morning but it is what it is.
Buildbigger86I feel you i will do a 15 min stretch in like an hour or 2 hour do bike for 10 mins and then lift.
My preference would be late am to work out. This way I can get up (7am) and do some cardio, get a good meal or two in me, then later that morning (10-11am) hit the gym hard. At this point of the day when I have my post workout meal, it will usually have the last amount if carbs I need for the day, so I'm done my carbs around 1-2pm and cruise with proteins and fat until bedtime.
Also late morning I feel is my strongest part of the day, I'm awake but not drained by all the daily stress that occur.
