+ 1 Blood Pressure
ad
Morning everyone. Hope all is well.
Was wanting to make a quick post to ask everyone what they run these days to help with their BP. I personally take 5mg Nebivolol and 20mg Lisinopril, split half at in the morning and half at night. Usually my BP sits around 125-130/75-80, but it has started creeping up. Today it read 143/75. It’s always my systolic that creeps up. I’ve added taurine into my stack to help, but that does take a bit to work and I’m sure on cycle the effects are less substantial than they are when not. Just happened to have some on hand.
Any recommendations? Appreciate them all, thank you!

I was ready to head to the ER when mine hit 157 so yeah I dont know how people leave it that high, took a cialis and it dropped it right down.
I take 40mg telmisartan in the pm and hydrochlorothiazide in the am on blast to keep it down. Without meds it's similar to yours 150-160/70-80. On cruise my BP runs slightly elevated and if I stay hydrated and do fasted cardio I can keep it under control without meds, around 120-30/65-75
I recently started Telmisartan at the recommendation of this forum and other sources. It has a 24 hour half life and has other metabolic benefits that can be beneficial for bodybuilders. I also take a 100mg metoprolol, which is similar to Nebivalol in that it is a beta blocker, and 10mg Cialis. Mine usually runs 125/135/70-80 with that. I don’t see how some of these guys get theirs to the low levels that they say they do. I have not figured that one out yet.
I started on Metoprolol, but I didn’t like how it made me feel during my workouts. I did some research and found the selectiveness of Nebivolol would likely work better for me, and it did. As far as Telmisartan, I have tried it before but remember some unpleasant sides. Though I may look into it again. May have to just power through them for a bit.
As for others claiming they have normal BP, I feel like some (not all, of course) people lie to make themselves seem more tolerant to some things. I refuse to believe anyone running 750 Test and 300 Tren has a 120/70 BP. Some of these guys though just know their shit and are fortunate enough to have cardiovascular systems that respond well to treatment. I, unfortunately, am not one of them. My HR is always high, though the Nebivolol has worked very well to take me from over 110 resting day to day, even off cycle, to 80-90 while blasting.
For sure gonna be some trial and error, but I think I’m going to talk to my doctor about Telmisartan again.
You and I seem to be very similar with respect to our cardiovascular systems. I have pretty much the exact same stats as you on and off meds. Also, I agree with you that some folks have to be exaggerating their low/normal BPs while on cycle.
Yeah, I don’t know, it’s always hypertension that scares me on cycle. Bloodwork responds very well to basic supplements even on longer blasts. But even low dose, I tend to always see the BP rise. Heart rate has been high my entire life.

Hibiscus tea
Green tea
Beet root powder i use to lower blood pressure
I struggle with it myself. Stay away from caffeine it just makes it worse but a lot of guys said to take Telmisartan. I have never tried it I will say that taking cialis works I dropped mine down to 103/65 by taking cialis but thats just a temporary fix.
I take 5mg cialis daily it keeps me good while blasting. I am fine on trt or even 250-300 mg a week but I have had low blood pressure my entire life before trt and full on cycles.
