Deca and old man joints

ad

Does deca actually help with sore joints by making them more lubricated, or does it just mask the joint pain?
What is the minimum dose required to see some joint improvement?

CBBurrr's picture

Guys, I'm running a very low dose of deca w/ my Test E cycle.
I would like some input on my caber dosage.
500mg test E weeks 1-12
125mg deca weeks 3-10
adex, .25 mg EOD
Caber .125mg every week ( 1/4th of a .5mg tab weekly)

age 45, 2nd cycle 195 lbs 15%bf

I'm in week 3 now, and just started with the deca at 60mg E3D
I'll get blood work at week 6

Low dose deca blended with Equipoise........... BOOOOM........... Joints feel like they have been axle greased.

Luvverly fkn Jubberly :)))

TIP!.......... Very light moderate rep sets on a Pec Deck machine is a fantastic exercise for Rotator Cuffs.

Agreed,,,the DECA/EQ combo works great.

Gymjunkie01's picture

Never tried them both together .. Big difference than just decca alone ? Might have to try that this fall

I just added a simple 250mg to Rustys current cycle purely because he has started to pop and grind in a few places........... let him report his findings in a couple of weeks to prove EQ and deca work fantastic for this purpose......... no need to worry about deca wetness this can be controlled easily with VitC intake.

anti imflammatory cytokines are released when progesterone receptor is stimulated, they are small proteins in our bodies that respond to pain, injury and imflamation, so if you have sore joints, the cytokines gather around the imflamed area releiving the discomfort, its a temporary mask and after you come off the nandrolone the pro imflammatory cytokines will fight off the anti imflammatory ones bringing the pain back, sometimes worse due to the added stress of being stronger and lifting heavier whilst your actually still injured the whole time. there is a couple of other ways it works, collagen synthesis and cortico aswell, nitti knows alot about this stuff, he may chime in.

I your looking for joint relief and some good anabolic effect
try 200mg every 5-7 days.

Did Deca last year and kept it at around 400mgs/week along with Proviron, yep, no test ( Big Mistake).
It did healed my partially torn rotator cuff, which to this date hasn't flared up at all!
no bloat in my case at this dosage, but the dreaded Deca Dick was a rude awakening for me after the cycle was done....that shit shut me down for good, and at my age (46) it took me until around March of this year with a looong second PCT of Clomid @ 50mgs ED to get me somewhat at the same level I was prior to starting this cycle.
Loved the workouts I had with better joint relief this compound brought, and I assure you it does a good job for this purpose alone, but let me tell you, and I gotta be honest with you, after this cycle, I really considered strongly to go the TRT way and will probably do so soon, since It really affected my endocrine system to this date and would only touch this shit again unless I tear something else in my body.
Just giving my experiences with this compound and not deterring you from your decision at all, keep researching Brother and Good Luck!

Deca didn't heal your rotator cuff - it doesn't do that, careful how it comes across to others as some kind of miracle cure. It masked some pain and discomfort whilst it healed. The danger of using deca in that instance is it feels more robust than it actually is making you think you can push a bit harder than you should. Pain is there for a reason, sometimes it's vital you're aware to stop the likelihood of re injury.

Thats a very good point! do I want to potentially trade a little soreness in the knees for a long, hard road of PCT? I'll think this one out. +1

Chidoman's picture

Don't get me wrong, It does work wonders for that purpose too, my leg workouts improved a lot and my nagging right knee soreness after each leg workout diminished completely along with my shoulder and right elbow. The shit works for that for sure, but my problem I think was progestin related not prolactin; I took Bromocriptine about a month after the cycle was done to control high prolactin, It help to some extent, but still felt shut down, so that's when I decided to start a second PCT and kept going with it for about 5 months after.

CBBurrr's picture

I'm starting a second test e only cycle. When I ran my first cycle last winter I noticed my knees getting achey when I dosed my aromasin enough to control estro. When I eased up on the Aro, my estro creeped up into the 60's but my knees felt better. I've never had sore knees in the past, but theve been just a little achey ever since that cycle. It feels like i've roughed up my meniscus a little. It's nothing too bad, but I don't want to keep lifting heavy on dried out knees if it's doing long term damage.

thanks for the info guys. I appreciate the feedback.

Since this will be your third cycle I would say add decca in and see how you respond to it. Usually decca is ran at half your test dose. So say your running 500 mg test a week run decca @ 250 ect.. Prolactin shouldn't be to much of an issue if kept at low doses but make sure you have stuff on hand in case they do arise.. My self decca is my favorite AAS I usually just run a test e and decca cycle classic mass builder

I'll give you my experience with joint problems and deca. I was having bad shoulder problems and was going to physical therapy 3x a weew for a while and had not done chest and shoulders in about 3 months and nothing was helping. So I said fuck it in gonna start my test cycle and add some deca and see if it helps. My first week on it I lifted extremely light and slowly build up the weights over the first 4 weeks. After 3-4 weeks my shoulders were basically back to how they were before the problems started. They were never perfect but I was atleast able to lift. It got better and better as the cycle went on and now I'm about 2 months post cycle and my shoulders are still good.

But it might not have been the deca that did it. My dad kept telling me if the pt is not helping at all maybe you should just go back to the gym and slowly work back into doing pressing movements. So maybe he was right and that's all I needed. Or maybe it was the deca. I'm not sure but that's my experience. Oh and incase your wondering I was using a low dose. 175mgs of npp a week.

irongame427's picture

Naa I don't think so because it's not just the fluid retention that helps the joints. Nandrolone has some anti inflammatory properties to it.

Low doses at 150-200 of deca I found works well for just joint benefits. It does not heal joints and tendons but helps with keeping the joints lubricated. Low dosing GH at 2iu will help with repair. You can stack the two together to help with your old man joints Smile

Dickkhead's picture

Yep. Make sure the GH has enough "materials" to work with - what are they - I can still hear the TV ads 20 years ago - yeah - glucosamine and chondroitin - you can pick up that stuff anywhere . . .

Check out Flash's post on Deca; we made some good points in it about "tendon pain rebound" after discontinuing the cycle.

TheFlash85's picture

lol i tried adding to it and deleted the whole thing, spewing coz it had 3000 views! my superdrol one had nearly 10,000 views i deleted that on purpose.

Decca merely maskes the symptoms and they will return after stopping the compound. It will force water into joints relieving sorness but again a few weeks after stopping it will return . Start low around 300 mg a week and work up till you feel relief, now understand decca takes a while to kick in it's a very slow ester so you may not see anything for 4 weeks . I seen your stats on profile what are you planning on running with decca or just asking questions?
