pin fast or slow?
ad
So I did my first I jection today. Slowly pushed into quads. Got a sharp pain when I hit the muscle and stopped. I decided to try glutes and it went it painful st first but stopped hurting. Actual injection was painless.
My question, should I be a little faster and usr s little more force getting the needle into my quads?attempting to slowly get the needle in is torture I'm hoping using a little more force it might go in easier? What to do?

I pin real slow. If I pin fast my muscles twitch and it's not fun, you may also hit a vein or nerve if you go really fast, and won't have time to react. Just my two cents from a guy who did everyday injections for 6 months straight.
were you sitting down or standing up? i sit down and form like a 120 degree bend on my knee to relax the quad before pinning. And I always pin pretty slow just to make sure i dont hit and puncture through anything im not suppose to
What size pins are you using? I use 25g and pin slowly in quads and ALWAYS have smooth injections. Glutes are a different story. I hate pinning them cause they are so hard to reach and for some odd reason are more sensitive as far as the pin going in is concerned.
Nothing worse than pinning a tensed up muscle.
Pin in fast but inject slowly.

That's what I was hoping to try. Injections are painless so I don't mind taking my time just the actual needle huirted like hell when I tried to slowly slide it in,
Relax a bit before injection. I get pain from poking needle in too when Im too nervous. If you still have the problem maybe try smaller pin and see how it goes.
