+ 2 How many fighters do we have around here?
ad
I know from living that lifestyle for so long that a lot of fighters in MMA and Boxing are looking to AAS for that extra edge in their training. The benefits of muscle recovery are too tempting to pass up for the serious fighters! Who of you are fighters and what do you run? If you're licensed how do you cycle during training without being detected? I know that in my state they don't test randomly. You get it before and after your fight. I was never medically cleared to be licensed so I had an easier time, but I'm interested in your stories or takes on it.

The only reason you wouldn't be able to load a pic is because you loaded one ready today.
but besides like epe is EQ one of the best ones? i was going to run some gh as well
here's one amateur MMA fighter and Kickboxer.
Buildbigger86Well my friend Nittie, The ufc has no passed a rule stating that they are making an exception for fighters who are TRT running 200mg a week of test i ok if you have a doctors note. NO BULLSHIT FELLAS YOU CAN LOOK THIS UP. Anyway so think about lets say they train for 6 months before fight now keep in mind that they are allowed to try at @ 200mg a week. Not what i sure happens is that when these dudes train they run tons of prop or acetate compounds with short after life's. So if they do this correctly 3 days before they stop the prop but remember still the200mg of test eth for their TRT but that is totally fine with ufc now. Their these guys can go nuts for 6 months and then 3 days before fight only have the test eth active in their system also if they wanted to do this boss dog would be of course the true pioneer of AAS'S and PED'S treatment the man who took it to the highest level of all times. Lance my man armstrong. Through doing some much reserach on him to beat the his drug test's for test or anything else he take a form of test that he would inject the day off test which would even out the test levels and he would pass. Crazy. I will edit this post soon to find out what he used and give a full report.
Isn't it humorous that almost every fighter has a doctors note for TRT, its like a parental note for a field trip. You can tell that UFC fighters don't take don't take their regulatory system seriously, its a joke.
I heard Dana White say in an interview that they were starting to do random testing to keep the trt people from blasting while in training so they are aware of what's going on
MMA fighters get all the respect in the world from me. You have to be a special kind of crazy to do that shit! I'm not crazy about the jujitsu aspect. But the conditioning and repetition in training is exhausting. Ppl think they're tough and say "I could do that. No problem." Last time someone said that about boxing, I had him hit a heavy bag non stop for 2 minutes. He lasted 50 seconds before he started crying and bitching. And that was a fuckin bag. Nobody punching back. I'll say the same thing here that I say in the gym to the youngins that want to fight. When you get hit, you'll know if you want to fight or not!
I know I ask this question alot but I just want to prove to myself that I can do it is any of you guys looking for sparing partner in gym lol
I know I ask this question alot but I just want to prove to myself that I can do it is any of you guys looking for sparing partner in gym lol
Are u from us I would come to your gym
Most people have zero appreciation of what it's like to be pinned underneath someone, blow all their energy trying to get out very quickly and feel utterly helpless in the process. Simple hip positioning on someone who hasn't trained on the floor will make them feel like a child and in my very extensive experience it will break a great number of people who believe themselves 'tough'.
Hahaha very well said. The air doesn't hit back when shadowboxing either. My secret favorite is when these wanna-be gangsters come in off the streets wanting to go straight into fighting without putting in the necessary training, conditioning, and skill building. My Sifu (master/teacher) has me put the gloves on and teach them a nice lesson. Gangsta 0 - Well trained fighter 1. Hahaha
What do you train in?
I started boxing and wrestling when I was young. Then started bjj, northern mantis, Baji quan, when I was in my early teens. I fought full contact San da/ San shou/ kickboxing until I was about 18 and had to realize othe responsibilities in life. I wish I had the time to train. I was putting in about 6 hours 5 days a week, and at least 3 the other 2. Now I barely have time to get in the gym 4 days a week for 2 hours. I do miss it.:
I train in quite a few styles. Northern 7 Star Praying Mantis, Northern Shaolin, Iron Palm, Yang Style Tai Chi, Bao Ding (Pao Ting) Shuai-Chiao, and MMA. Praying Mantis is my specialty and what my fighting style mostly reflects. I've only been training for about 7 years, so I'm lifetimes away from being a master. Sometimes I think I'm an amazing fighter ... until I try to fight my teacher. Then I feel like an infant trying to punch a gorilla.
Nice, although I would not consider Mma a "style" of its own. It is by definition mixed martial arts ;)
Same goes for iron palm, which is a training technique used across a wide spectrum of arts to strengthen the hands.
Whose lineage of mantis do you train under?
One family brother.
You're 100% correct about MMA not being a "style", which is why I said that. I don't have a muay Thai class, bjj class, etc. I just train MMA for the conditioning aspect. It's mostly a class made up of everything MMA entails and the name for our training is actually called "Cardio MMA". We only officially name "styles" classes after our lineages.
I have to disagree with you about Iron Palm. Although it may not be an actual style, there is only one true Iron Palm, and it is from Shaolin Kung Fu. All others are merely counterfeits and don't possess the true skill. There are even a lot of counterfeit Iron Palm practitioners in Kung Fu.
My Iron Palm comes directly from one of the most famous Iron Palm masters in history, Ku Yu Cheong, also called Gu Ru Zhang depending on which system of Chinese is used to write it. True iron palm requires all energy, chi, and no effort. You progress from dropping your hands on mung beans, then to gravel, then to steel shot, and possibly solid steel.
If you look at others who claim to use Iron Palm, especially the Japanese styles, they are only using pure bruit force, and destroying their bodies to get it. Knuckle pushups, punching solid wood or steel, or whatever methods they use only destroys the bones and nerves and creates calcium deposits. True Iron Palm strengthens the bones, ligaments, and tendons of the hands. You would never know a true Iron Palm master if you were to shake their hand because it would still be soft to the touch. One of the most important ingredients is a Chinese liniment called Dit Da Jow. this is a bottle of liquid made up of Chinese herbs and a few other things. There is also a great deal of Dit Dat Jow counterfeits out there as well, by Kung Fu practitioners claiming to know this secret art. Truth is, true Iron Palm is a very small circle. I'm still on the outside for now, and I've been training real Iron Palm since 2008. Many people train and never fully develop the style.
I've made the liniment.
Who's lineage of mantis do you practice?
Northern 7 Star from Lo Kwon Yuk
to Wong Hon Fung
to Al Cheng (Cheng Luen Chuen)
to my Sifu
shirlsguya guy told me to 'shut up' once, I thought he said 'stand up' does that count?
Just saw this! Ive been training since late 2006 and had a 13-3 am record and a 2-2 pro record. Last fight was 1-23-2010. Love combat sports and as long as my body will hold up I will always want to be around it in one form or another.
I just found this thread. I know its old but I used to fight alot in my early army years. 12-1 amateur record. I hold titles in 3 different wight classes. I got out of that tho, rough on the body.
Made a mistake and skipped amateurs and jumped strait to professional boxing. They offered me money damn it!!!! Yes I trained and had a trainer. Fought in New York, Kansas, Arkansas and Texas. Was 2-2 when life got in the way so i took time off and eventually stopped all together. When it's cutting time I have my bag days that still get me super pumped.
Wow! Not a single amateur fight? Shit, I was the opposite. By the time I was ready to take the leap I couldn't get medically cleared for a pro license. I know what you mean tho. I still love lacing up and puttin in some work. I'll take a week off from lifting for a week and train as if I have a fight coming. Breaks up the routine a bit. Burns too many calories but I love it. Can't stay away completely.
No amateurs besides my older bro putting it on me in the back yard. Ya it wasn't until I fought in New York and I was the undercard of the featherweight champion when I realized I went about this giving thing all wrong. Lol I walked out of the dressing room and saw a couple people that I saw on the Howard stern show (when it was still on E!) and I was like damn this is kinda big time. I wish I would have fought amateurs everyday. I had my shot and I blew it.
I have for many decades trained, fought and teach an Olympic grappling style. Are AAS and PHDs a part of the game? Yup. Most of the competitors, wisely have their systems clean by comp time. At lower level comps there is random testing, at upper level internationals, World Champs, Olypmics ect. YOU WILL BE TESTED! I don't really follow MMA but AAS, PHDs and illegal drugs is the norm. See the recent admission from UFC head on illegal drug use. Even Royce Gracie tested positive for AAS back in 2000, I believe there about. As for me, I tell my people, don't use them. Eventhough I do. You can see all the BS around Lance Armstrong, let everyone else with a loose trap get caught, not me. So, I can't really say what everyone else is using/doing. It's better for me and them not to know. But if you want to know what I do, it's lean mass rules, no fat for the mat!

One of my top 3 favorite fighters right here, you take one look and know he is all natural!!!;)
Yeah! Me too;)
Ive been doing MMA, wrestling, Boxing, BJJ for 6 yrs now. Jjust started cycling 2 yrs ago.
good work
HAHAHA your name is funny as hell. I had a few talks with Chael on Twitter. He's a real cool cat. Payed me my due respects like a man.
I'm a karate guy. OSme child years of EXP. like 10. And I was a MCMAP Instructor in the USMC Infantry, on Batalion Level. One thing I dont like is being taken down by a wrestler. I like to gouge eyes and rip cheeks if that happens. Nothing like a fish hook to the anus as you turn the corner to make him want to stand and trade
I used to train in mma for a couple years. I got pretty good at it but never had the desire to fight. It was also before i started using gear. I gave it up because I wasn't able to build the physique I wanted. Taking gear would have have really helped out with my recovery time. I was training 6 days a week in mma for 2 to three hours at a time. I was trying to balance weight lifting in the morning the training at night. I never gained a pound doing this but stayed shredded all the time. the body weight exercises and cardio made it impossible to grow and recover from workouts. There is definitely a place in mma for gear, especially the pros that are training 3 to 4 times a day.
That is exactly what I used it for. Training the way we do is brutal. Even in my early 20's I had trouble after vicious sparring sessions. Once I hit 25yrs old I started cycling. I kept it simple and short. Short esters and short runs. Helped me out immensely. And it didn't help whatsoever with taking punches or skillset. Just recovery. If you are a monster of a man and strong as an OX ,it doesn't mean you can fight. It might help you take a punch with a strong neck but doesn't change a damn thing in the big picture. Guys that have been caught in fights (Fernando Vargas for ex) didn't fair very well as he sucked before he cycled. Nice feedback, keepit coming. There's a method to my madness. I have some younger guys who might be going places who are entertaining the idea. Other than my own experience i'd like to have some other examples as a frame of reference for them. Thanks guys
It wasnt the sparring that got me it was the grappling and rolling since you have to put in so much strength and effort.
Well when you're going one on one isn't it the same as me throwing punches with another guy? Whether you're practicing ju jitsu, wrestling, muay Thai etc. still a battle right?
So the guys that fight or have in the past speak up. I'm interested on different perspectives and i'm curious about who the fighters around here are.
BostonIm not against roids in any way ok, but...i think steroids in sports should be all or nothing. I think it should be allowed personally. If its not allowed though then NOBODY should do it. If you are fighting and juicing, you are a pussy and you are cheating period end of story. I dont buy the sob stories about oh, my family needed it yada yada. You should have had a backup career or retire if you cant hang anymore and go get a factory job. Thats my opinion. I love gear and love mma, just sick of hearing about all these dudes cheating. Alistar Overeem is the biggest pussy of them all. And hes a fool if he though for a second that we didnt know he was cheating. I feel bad for brock lesnar.
Disagree, steroids make the sport more interesting and fun to watch. I'm a huge overeem fan, too bad he got busted. Anyway, he has low T so might get cleared for TRT, but it's iffy cause of his failed urinalysis. Anyway, I say juice your balls off, ESPECIALLY if you're a fighter, I'm not paying to see a bunch of skinny kids duke it out.
Brock does more roids than Overeem!!!!! WTH lol!
You feel bad for Brock?!? HAHAH, you're a complete fucking idiot. If you don't agree with steroids in MMA, then don't watch MMA. It's ingrained in the sport. At the top levels 80%+ of fighters are cycling something. If you want to be pissed off at those who cycle aggressively or poorly and get caught, then by all means do so. But please don't come onto a steroids forum, calling real men pussies for no reason.
I thought brock was cleared as far as roids. I thought he passed many many tests before and after fights.?? I mean Ionly know what Iread on the internet and who knows how accurate that is. But although Ido juice Ican see where that dudes coming from. I think its definitely the more noble path to NOT juice if ur fighting someone who isn't juicin. And Iwish Iknew the real numbers of who juices in ufc, Ialways thought vitor belfort juiced cuz his physique just screams juice. He's freekishly big and cut. BUT these guys also do this professionally so with coaches and dieticians and trainers....they may be doing it naturally without hormones. I am training but Idont think ill ever compete in mma. I do it for fun. For now. But to be fair that guy didn't call them pussies for no reason, he has a reason. And whether you think its right or wrong, it is illegal, so doing anything against the rules to get an advantage to win, is arguably a pussy move. Not saying UR a pussy, but if you get into a fight and you lay out the rules, say no ballshots, and first thing he does is kick you in the balls, he's a pussy for breaking the rules to try to win. Its the same concept. I don't think ANY MMA FIGHTER IS A PUSSY....Ijust think if u wanna compete u should follow the rules, n if u don't then u should fight in a different organization where that is acceptable. Although....if u wanna be true to the original idea of ufc then they should let ppl use juice. The point of ufc was to show the world that regardless of strength or size bjj was the king. The gracie challenge the gracies would fight juiced up bodybuilders all the time. So whatev ya know
+1. Couldn't agree more! I take it you're a fighter Aamon?
I eat, sleep, live and breathe this shit lol. But I don't fight.
I love MMA dude. check out my favorite MMA site
mma.ly
Every website Aggregated into one web site !!!
So you're an MMA fighter who runs gear right? You are confusing me a little. You're against it but do it yourself? When u do run cycles it's during training isn't it? I can't imagine you'd take the risk of getting caught after a fight with Halo in your system
irishpride79That's right and I forgot brockie boy is all natural.....considering he got busted for it in 2001....hmmmm dunno why you would feel bad hommie slice.....
Point taken, but calling people pussies is a stretch. I'm talking about using AAS to recover from training. No licensed fighter I've ever worked with used AAS for An actual fight, just training. Your point on a level playing field is valid, i agree. Again, not my point. Besides, AAS isn't going to make anyone a better fighter. I don't give a fuck how much you can lift. There is no such thing as TOUGH, There's trained and untrained! So with that, I'm talking to the fighters. Anybody is welcome to bring their perspective but your not exactly on topic here.
Sorry I have to disagree with ya bro. For that matter than if u take anything over the counter than thats cheating too! If u can't grow it or shoot it dead and eat it than my man then it should be illegal by ur standards. Were any of these supps available to boxers or fighters a 100yrs ago? Hell no they weren't. Also, in case u haven't noticed just cuz u run gear doesn't mean ur Desire or Drive or Dedication to overcome all of the Pain and Sacrifice is any less than a natural guy. Gear don't make u superman. Ur heart is what seperates the best from the rest.
Brock Lesnar was always a lousy fighter and don't tell me that guy was natural. He's worthless always has and always will be. Where has he ever been an Elite Athlete?? He couldn't make it in the NFL or UFC.
Hey he was Awesome in WWE!!!!
I have to disagree there...its not a question of whether it gives them an advantage. Its already been decided that it DOES give a fighter the advantage to have superhuman levels of testosterone, so the issue is that its been established as a rule, once you agree to fight in the ufc then you have to play within the rules whether you think its right or wrong, they could say every ufc fighter has to wear a blindfold and just because you disagree....DOESN'T MATTER. These are the parameters, do you want to be involved in this? Then stay within the rules. If you do not, then fight in a different organization. And nobody says that doing gear will make you win or turn you into superman....but it DOES give certain advantages. And however small u may think they are, its a rule. It may be stupid but hey, go fight somewhere else. The majority of people want it this way so the ufc gives the people what they want. On that note....they give the people what they want, even if its the ILLUSION of a steroid free fight league. Maybe the steroid testing is a joke and everyone uses? I dunno. Ya kno what Imean?aaand brock lesnar is an incredible athlete man. Seriously that guy has fuckin heart. and it is possible to just have freekishly high test levels and be a huge ass dude, and with proper diet and training....its possible he's naturally a beast. And being a heavyweight champion in the UFC, NCAA, WWE (even tho its a joke and not a sport), yea just being an undisputed heavyweight champion in the UFC means ur an elite athlete brother. Why u hating on brock!!!???
Why are they rules if no one follows them? They are all on something. I hate on Brock cuz I don't like fighters who quit. I don't hate that a fighter loses but a guy who curls up and says no more ain't worthy of being a champion. I've seen him quit/curl up on more than one occasion. Granted he's a physical specimen but I meant it more specifically as a fighter and not a wrestler which he was a great wrestler. He's a mediocre fighter at best.
I wouldnt necessarily say hes not an elite athlete, he had a wrestling record of 33–0–0 in his senior year of high school, Lesnar later attended the University of Minnesota on a full wrestling scholarship for his junior and senior years of college, Lesnar won the 2000 NCAA wrestling championship as a heavyweight after placing second in 1999.
Prior to joining the Minnesota Golden Gophers, Lesnar wrestled at Bismarck State College in Bismarck, North Dakota. Lesnar finished his amateur career as a two-time NJCAA All-American, 1998 NJCAA Heavyweight Champion, two-time NCAA All-American, two-time Big Ten Conference Champion, and the 2000 NCAA heavyweight champion with a record of 106–5 overall in four years of college. I'd say that a pretty impressive feat, its sad that he joined the WWE which is a joke but what else is a guy to do when he has these talents, did MMA, steroids or not the guy is a beast and quite the athlete.
