Forearms killing me pushing lots of weight

ad

What do you guys do about your forearms or that part of your body in general? I'm trying to push harder in the gym and noticing my forearms are killing and are hard as a rock when I'm not training. My forearms are huge as it is I'll post a pic tomorrow. Should I get some wrist wraps or is my form fucked up? It's starting to hinder me as I was doing 95 pound bent bar curls and I kept trying to lift and my forearms were definitely straining. Normally I'm at 115.

Wraps are always good… You could also try using a fat bar or fat grips, sounds counter productive but it does help my elbow and wrist pain when it flairs up.

the tendons and ligaments don't grow as fast at the muscle does when we are on cycle.. I have developed tendonitis in my wrist and forearm from pushing too hard. wrist wraps, changing excercises, and icing after training will help immensely

I've been going to a massage therapist every week now lol. She gave me some really good exercises to do to strengthen the forearms and surrounding muscles which has been helping tremendously. The wrist roller has made some of the pain go away. Not to mention wrist wraps as well.

I get the same pains. When I'm doing barbell curls, get a right intense pain for a short while. Since that first happened I just do different exercises and don't get the pain anymore. I also do wrist exercises too now to support heavy lifting.

Don't think you've upped the weight too quickly? Getting enough recovery? Barbell curls do me in man lol

I swear by wrist support during compound exercises. Many come attached to gloves, but there are wrist support straps to suit anyone's taste. I had problems with that in the past and found that I was not griping the bar hard enough doing heavy bench. Grip that shit like you are trying to crush the bar. That also makes it easier to engage your Lara for support. I may be reading too much into the thread, but that is what I would do. Good luck bro

Don't push those tendons too hard, if that's the problem they take a long time to heal! You might wanna back off the weight for a while?

The pain is coming from close to my wrist so if i grab my wrist the pain is more prominent.
