+ 16 Are you ready for this..?
Are you ready to make the jump and take anabolic steroids? Gear in and of itself is a sensitive issue and when you add females into the mix, the issue becomes more complicated. Women have a lot to lose, including many of the traits that make us female. I don't believe that a simple anavar cycle should be dissected any less than the more advanced cycles, simply because it's been used by so many women with low sides (more on that later..) I hope that if you are seriously considering making the jump, you've thought about the following things and can answer YES to the following questions...
1) Are you training enough? You should have a couple years (at least) of solid strength training under your belt. This should be hard and heavy lifting, aimed at muscle growth and not muscle "toning" (more on that later..) if you are lifting three days a week in between Zumba classes, steroids aren't for you. You need to establish a solid training regiment And give your body an opportunity to grow NATURALLY before introducing steroids. Theres so many different sites on the internet that will give you FREE, yes free, workouts. Are you hitting all of your body parts equally or doing squats every other day because you want a big booty? Run all the shit you want- you won't reap the benefits without putting in the work. Are you sitting at 25, 30, 35% bf? Also, are you a cardio queen? Are you doing countless cardio sessions which can negate the growth of muscle if you aren't consuming the necessary amount of calories? Which brings us onto the next issue...
2) Are you eating enough? If you're reading this thinking "but OMG I eat soo much"... Here's a clue- you probably aren't. For muscle to grow, you need to eat at a caloric surplus.. Yes, that means more calories! "But won't that make me fat?!" Will it make you FAT, no. Could you put on weight? Absolutely. It's dependent upon what your current intake looks like. IF YOU ARE SCARED TO PUT ON FAT BUT ARE NOT SCARED OF THE POTENTIAL SHORT TERM AND LONG TERM EFFECTS OF STEROID USE, you should not be taking this shit, period. Don't be afraid of chicken, steak, rice, sweet potatoes, oatmeal.. (If you just read that and thought "but IronB, carbs will make me fat" you have some serious fucking reading to do.. Carbs are your friend, bitches) What types of calories are you consuming? Are you eating protein, healthy fats, slow digesting carbs and vegetables, spread out evenly throughout your day? EVERYDAY? Not just Monday through Friday? Do you pack your meals to ensure that you always have the proper food within arms reach? Does your typical breakfast consist of a Dannon Light and Fit yogurt with some granola? Is lunch "only when you remember?" You need to get a pattern of healthy eating down and into practice before introducing steroids. Have you researched not only proper nutrition, but effective ways to fuel your body pre & post workout? If you've been around this site for any amount of time or have used the handy-dandy magnifying glass as a search tool (hint, hint) you'll read "food is the most anabolic substance known to man." That's because it's true. Take all the shit you want, you won't reap any benefits without putting in the time in the kitchen. Remember this line.. "You have to eat big to get big"... Which brings us to #3..
3) Are steroids necessary for your goals? If, when you describe what you hope to achieve from taking steroids, the word "TONE" is present.. Guess what, this shit ain't for you. Not only is it impossible to tone a muscle, but this look can be achieved by diet and exercise (see #1 & #2).
4) Have you accepted the side effects that come along with Steroid use? I'm talking each and every possible side effect. Just because you want to hop on a "little" anavar cycle and all your girlfriends or people at the gym have done it with little to no side effects, doesn't mean dick for you. Side effects are highly individual- you can talk to ten women who experienced NO acne with winstrol but guess what? You could experience acne so severe that makeup won't cover the shit and you don't want to leave the house. Now you have a choice.. Do you continue your cycle because you're loving it or cycle off and wait for the sides to clear? Decisions, decisions... You may not get just one side, either. You may get two or three or four. Clit growth, facial hair, acne, voice drops, to name a few.. It's up to you to draw a line in the sand and say "I can't live my life with xxx side" no one can make that determination for you. Are you prepared for the potential estrogen spike from going off cycle? Have you read about the "post cycle blues?" Guess what- that shit is real. Will you be able to handle coming completely off cycle or will you be one of those jackasses ( yup, I said it) who never want to cycle off, so they just keep switching compounds? How about the potential legal ramifications of your possession of anabolic steroids? Please just be completely prepared and educated on what can transpire during your cycle... Which brings us to #5....
5) Are you educated on steroids and steroid use? Have you spent months or maybe years researching different compounds, how they effect the body, different uses and aide effects? Do you know the difference between short and long esters and the benefits of each? Do you know what it is to taper up and down? What about the recommended cycle length is for certain compounds? Are you planning on running orals or injectables? How about the basic measurements of mcg, mg, ml? IM injections vs. sub-q injections? Are you willing to jump on a steroid because your boyfriend "totally told me that tren is super safe for women because he's taken it and he would never suggest anything that could hurt me"? Do you know how women pct? RESEARCH this shit first. I spoke to a very knowledgable woman on here and she put it perfectly.. "If I'm going to fuck myself up, at least it's going to be on my own terms." KNOW what you are putting into your body. DO you homework. Be a lion, not be a sheep.
6) Does your lifestyle support steroid use? Do you often travel for work, leaving days or weeks where it will be impossible for you to take your doses, therefore completely fucking up your hormone levels? Do you hit the bar? It should go without saying that booze and steroids don't mix, but you never know.. The liver isn't that important, right?? If you're throwing back shots of fireball or glasses of Pinot at happy hour, this shit ain't for you. Do you hardly sleep, leaving your body little time to repair the muscle that you make small tears into every time you lift? Rest is probably the third most important aspect behind food and training. Do you generally lack motivation in the gym but somehow find that steroids give you a push? (Some advice on that one.. The drive needs to come from within- not to get all deep and philosophical, but the determination to do the right thing- eating, training, resting- day in and day out is no joke.. It needs to be there on cycle AND off.. In fact, you need to work harder when off so that you can maintain this Greek Goddess of a body that you've worked so hard for).
EDIT: this is meant to be a general list- things to seriously think about. Obviously there will be exceptions and you may fall into one of those categories.
Female members who have been here.. We all need to stick together and treat some of these women (who don't meet the aforementioned criteria) just like the men treat the guys coming in who have no business running gear... "You don't need gear you need food" or "your body isn't at the right place for gear to be effective.."
Let's be safe. Happy lifting, bitches.

bigwillyBirches ?
Must say very good post +1
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS!!!!!
...and guys.....this applies to you as well.
excellent post iron
I wanted to write more last night, but I had things to do so here goes.
Everyone has different reasons for using AAS. I can use myself as an example since I am not a body builder. I'm almost 34, in the past 10 years I have been pregnant 4 times and gotten hella fat each time. I recovered every time, with hard work and diet losing over 60 pounds each time. However, this last time did a real number on my body. It was a difficult pregnancy, I was required to be on moderate bedrest meaning I basically sat on my ass for 7 months. I wasn't even aware of how much muscle I lost until well after my son was born. But when I made it back to the gym I was 195ish and 46% body fat. Yes, that is not a typo 46%. With calipers, I was fucking fat.
So I hit the gym, and slowly but surely got myself down to 33ish. I built a lot of muscle and dropped a lot of body fat. All the while researching and learning about PEDS and peptides. When I decided to give it a run, I wasn't looking for a miracle I just knew I needed help. Could I reach my goals natty? Maybe. But I do believe once we reach a certain age things become much harder. When I had my first son in 2008, I lost 50 pounds in 3 months. I was 27, this last pregnancy in 2012 it took almost a year to lose the same amount of weight. My body just wasn't running at optimal speed.
Now had I started a cycle at 46% body fat, that would have been insane. But starting when I did simply kicked my body into overdrive and I look better now than I did before I had any kids. The speed of progress keeps me highly motivated. Do need to run NPP and anavar for the EBC? No, ofcourse not but in all honesty none of us need steroids. It's often said, mainly in the mens sections that, "you don't need steroids bro." When it's said to a person under 30 I agree it's likely they don't. But no one does, so I do find it odd when I read it.
I think this write up is awesome, and I think it will help a lot of people. But as a community we need to remember we do not know the people we are speaking too. It's the internet and unless someone is an oversharer (like me lol) it's impossible to know why they are really here.
AnonVery true. Like I put below, it was meant to serve as a general list before someone jumps into steroids, not an all-encompassing guide. A checklist perhaps- something to seriously consider before jabbing a needle in your ass or swallowing your first pill... Bodybuilder or not, a lot of those principles are important in training, even for a sport-specific athlete or a person just hoping to look better nekkid. A lot of women fall victim to the "latest fad" to get the body they want- no carb/no fat diets, Atkins, hcg dieting running on 500 cals a day- it seems as though anavar is becoming that new fad- you see (I know you do lol) the women coming in here going "I'm gonna take anavar, I wanna lose weight and get ripped" um, It doesn't work that way. Like Nitti hit on, some women may not be able to eat enough, or may have to make adjustments to their training because of injuries, or train in a manner that's consistent with their sport of choice. At the end of the day, we are all adults (so I hope) and we are gonna do whatever the fk we want- let's do it SAFELY.
I agree completely my dear
Very very good write up girl!
http://www.eroids.com/forum/general/general-talk/weight-restricted-aas-u...
While I will say I agree for the most part, I say you are making one major error in judgment with this post. Eroids is an AAS review site, not a bodybuilding site. Just like some of the men have come to realize in the past, the ladies must as well, that there are women who use AAS (and other peds) to enhance performance, not to look good on stage. The MMA fighter chic who used to frequent eroids? What about her? Or maybe a track competitor, a hockey , softball player or any type of athlete. I don't think telling a fighter (who has to make weight in 2 weeks) they shouldn't be on AAS because they don't eat enough is responsible or fair. Try to understand that while the majority of members are bodybuilders, they all are not. There are other athletes who use AAS (and introduced it to the bodybuilding world btw) with much different goals than you who deserve the same feedback and insight that you do. I completely understand what you are trying to accomplish, and again I stand behind it. But I cannot let any athletes get chased away from this place I love because of a misunderstanding. Agreed?
AnonAbsolutely. I would believe that a serious athlete knows proper nutrition and knows proper training, even if they cannot necessarily apply those principles in the short-term because they are cutting weight for a meet to fit in a certain weight class. This was meant to serve as a general list, not an all-encompassing guide. I would love to have more females here, regardless of their sport of choice.
Yes the only difference is the fact that you can't tell by looking at a picture whether someone is an athlete as they judge themselves based on performance not what the mirror says. Now, once it's been established that someone is not a competitive athlete, fire away and they deserve the onslaught
None the less, good post and it does have support of the administration! The entire concept and root of the post is valid!
I so agree! Very nice. N all above is on point in three words Train, Eat, Sleep then repeat!
And seeing ladies focused on the scale number instead of body fat is also a sign ur not ready.
U always recognize when someone is not knowledgeable by just convo.
I hear my husband buddies or guy friends say dang ur huge! N assume they know how he does it n just listening to the convo laughing on the inside how off they are n have No clue! nice post! +1
bigwillyOK OK OK, GOD, yes, I will marry you. ya didn't have to go threw all this though,LOL ;)
This should be a sticky in the ladies lounge +1 ironblonde
deff a good read blonde. my wife is a huge advocate of awareness and knowing everything about anything that has to do with the lifestyle we choose. good to see there are others who are on the same page. hopefully your post helps some of the women realize just what they are getting into.+1
Plus one for the awesome post
Thanks for the heartfelt post, much appreciated!
Great post! You guys really do have a tough decision to make. A lot of the sides are not reversible, atleast i dont think. Deepening of the voice, clit enlargement, body and facial hair growth an I'm sure I'm missing some of the other irreversible ones. All new females considering steroids should read this. It will definitely make them think twice about if its really necessary as most of them just wanna get "toned" lol. +2
Perfect! Absolute perfection here. I couldn't have said it better myself. I personally believe that it is absolutely ridiculous that the men on here are to tell another male that they are completely out of line for using a certain amount of gear for many reasons but the woman who shouldn't be using at all get their asses kissed because they post a picture in their underwear.
No matter what anyone thinks...women are created differently than men. We do not have the same natural hormones and steroids can cause completely different side affects in women than they do in men. Too many women rely on men to educate them on steroids and that is our biggest mistake as women. We should be educated and productive members of this site that can give educated advice without it being spoon-fed to us.
I have seen way too many women try steroids because they want that "beach body." There is nothing wrong with wanting that beach body but you need to understand the consequences that steroids can have on your body. You also have to realize what goals can be achieved naturally through good clean dedication to diet, training, and sleep and which goals are justifiably enhanced through the use of AAS.
If any member, women included, decide that they are wanting to use AAS I believe that it should be used in moderation. More is not always better. There is absolutely no reason for a woman to use major compounds such as test (short or long ester) or HGH or tren on the first OR second cycle.
I am a personal trainer as my second job and I am asked absolutely every day of my life how someone can lose belly fat and how they can get that beach body in the next two months. I am a female and a competitor and trust me I know how badly women(including myself) want results fast but faster is not better. Many clients ask about supplements that can help speed up their process of losing weight or body fat and I can't help but laugh. AAS are kind of like supplements but with much harsher side affects if not used properly. For myself and anyone who decides to use AAS...the gym and fitness should not be a habit but a lifestyle. In order to achieve serious results with or without AAS it takes serious dedication and I wish more people would take this into consideration when deciding what kind of body you want and what is necessary to achieve it.
Happy Lifting!
