I've been seeing this rampant in the promos recently...I know everyone wants to get in on the promos, especially free stuff...But I earned my karma the right way (even though its not high by any means, but damnit I earned it). Am I the only one who thinks it wrong to be doing this? Maybe its just me but I thought karma was earned then rewarded, not handed out like candy to get free products?

Worry about your own karma seems to be the best course of action IMO . Now Ive heard the argument that you all fear some new guy will seek advice from someone with a higher karma number, but again, is that really your problem ? Is that really your responsibillity ?

Dude when I see the whoring on promos I feel like knocking them down a point. It's rediculous that somebody who is inactive here will start at like 15 points and meet the 30 requirement in like a fuckin day because they begged on a promo. It is undermining the source who created the promo. You can see that I am fairly generous in Hitting plus 1s every where, but its not gunna happen cause you beg for it and I don't do it specifically for a certain "crew".
I'm relatively new to the site, and earned a few points the past couple weeks. I have no problem with buying my gear, but sure it would be great to get in on a promo.
That being said, I agree with you. Being a web developer myself, the idea is to build up content which grows the site, and builds the community. I've been growing karma, as I steadily post cycle pics, gear pics, and participate in the forums. I'm helping the site/community grow, and get rewarded in return.
This has been the best community I've seen, and I've researched a lot. Sources are great and reward folks who participate.

My perspective on that is that it is our way of welcoming the women here with open arms. They are important counters to our unnaturally high testosterone. How many women do we actually have?
There are a lot more than there were when I started. And what you're saying may be true but there are also those guys who act like they've never seen a woman before who can't resist the urge to act like dogs! I see new members all the time who post pics and they get nowhere near the karma that a woman will get. It's the nature of the beast! This site is obviously majority men and they like to look at women. The women may very well be putting in the work and looking good but some of the guys just see what they want to see and they make it clear in their comments. Either way, Karma is watered down for sure. It doesn't mean much anymore.
I agree with you. I have been guilty of being pretty loose with the +1's myself. Would it be wise to place a weekly limit on karma we can give, say 10 per week, 7?
I don't think that solves anything. I mean maybe its a really crazy week where there are some awesome progress pics going up or some very helpful lab results that expose a scammer etc. Limiting karma isn't the answer. Ppl just have to use their judgement and intuition about some members with high karma (not just women) and read between the lines. Karma does not equal knowledge. I don't give a shit what the score is, I know who to go to and who not to go to when I need advice. I say everyone stop putting so much emphasis on karma! Stop looking at it as a status symbol! Like this guy drives a range rover and that makes him smarter because he makes more money! No ,maybe his daddy was rich and hooked his little monkey ass up! Or maybe he hit the lottery. But ppl still see the range rover as a status symbol and a marker for success. Just like karma is viewed here!
What he's trying to say is that the women on here receive karma for just posting a picture. There could be little to no progress and still receive 20 karma for it. I don't scower the women's thread so I don't know how much the women with high karma contribute. But based off the karma from pictures only. A few women shouldn't even be lvl 1. Take it however you want but im just stating the facts.
Some of our women blow the socks off a lot of the guys on here brother... i speak with many of them in PM and know what type of routines and diets they are utilising... some of the things our women are doing makes a laughing stock out of a lot of shit i get in PMs from certain guys... i suggest maybe talk to a couple of them yourself to get a deeper perspective of what they are about.
Most of them will speak freely and could increase your knowledge base with some of their own skill sets.... and dont forget we have a universe contender within our female membership.... that dont come from posting ass pics.
No I agree. 1 example is Suzy. She'd blow my socks off with info. That's why I said said some women, not all. Obviously all women get karma for pics it's to generalized of a statement. i Shoulda said pics in a bikini or a provocative pic that receives karma based off that and that alone.
I do not just contribute ONLY in the women's threads Sir! I make it a point to not only scower the ladies group but the intro, cycles, diets, off topic, and general. I have two groups and I help over see wifey day. I take offence to someone getting all butt hurt because they feel they are not receiving enough karma. With saying I did it the right way... so in other words everyone else has done it the wrong way... Very ignorant thing to say.. it's far from facts! As a female to even post a picture of something that you are not completely happy with takes more balls than some dude posting a pic of a bicep! Almost every women here has put herself out there... now if you think it's fair or not, honestly very few people care.. however, I do no go around blasting those that want to complain about karma and have only posted three topics, given advise a handful of times and posted pics of their arm. You know why? because it's not that big of a deal to me.. if you want more karma do more... add more.. give more! SIMPLE

Yep I've always thought it was funny how many karma they've got for pics was b/s. Hell just the other week I uploaded a pic that turned out sideways and hardly anyone even commented. There's a girl who post a pic sideways and gets a shit load of views and karma. The women notice this too but they act like they don't know what we're talking about. I have seen a couple women on here that are pretty hardcore but most of them just look like an average girl.
why do you care if a woman gets points for posting pics, moreso than men? Who cares... there should be better things to worry about
I never feel singled out.. I make sure that I stand out! I do not want to be in the shadows, I enjoy stating my position on certain things. I do not care if you do not think I deserve the amount of karma that I've been given that's fine. But I will say this most women at the age of 34 aren't juggling a 12 year old and a 9 month old. Fixing 65+ meals for two people, dinner five nights a week and still making it to the gym. They also aren't helping research HGH as well as a completion outline and a blast and cruise cycle to run as well as help coach some in the EBC.. keep in mind all the while trying to figure out alternative ways to address a muscle and joint deteriorating illness... but heck, that's just what I do on the side and I don't get karma for..
I stopped caring about karma a while ago. I think you feel singled out. Which isn't the case. I said some women, not all. I'm referring to the women that don't contribute in all areas of the site. I've seen you contribute here and there. Do I think you've earned a lvl 3 from advice etc? No. Do I care that you have higher karma than me? No. With that said, does that mean I think you have zero knowledge to share? No I think you contribute a fair amount.
The whole point of this post was about karma and promos. You chose to take offense to a statement which is understandable.
I take offence to anyone singling out the women on eroids. Karma is such a minuet thing and to be truthful I don't care if I'm a lvl 1 or 3 the important part is I contribute as much as I can on this site. As Viking said, you would be very surprised the knowledge that some of the women on this site have. Keep in mind that for most of us.. we've been on the side lines for our men for a long time doing AAS. Abaddon doesn't run anything without going over it with me first. He knows that all this time I've done nothing but take in everything he's ever explained to me. For most of you it's about getting big and looking good, for others it's about exploring other means of AAS. However, no matter what each persons goal maybe it's not fair to say that women do not deserve the attention they've been given because it goes for some men as well... nothing is ever fair, that's the first lesson in life.
