Thyroid and Free Testosterone test info
ad
I realized last night I haven't had a physical exam since mid 2011.i just looked at my results show
TSH = 1.08 miu/ml with reference range of 0.34 to 5.00
FT4 = 0.7 ng/dl with reference range of 0.6 to 1.6
There were a bunch of others but no total testosterone. I was hoping to get a baseline since I didn't test before my cycle. Anyway, do those numbers being on the low to mid range mean anything? I would have been 35 at the time of the test, turning 36 a few months later.
What significance does free test have in relation to total test?

Guys, Someone here was nice enough to send me info where I can get testosterone,dhea,edtrodiol,etc done for about $79(if you order the womans panel) and I dont know where I saved the info. I also want to enquire about getting adrenal gland testing done via saliva as well. Anyone know where to get saliva testing done cheaply for the adrenals?
Privatemdlabs.com female hormone panel.
TSH = thyroid stimulating hormone
T4 = amount of thyroxine in your system.
Thyroid related mate..
Thyroxine (FT4) is a hormone in charge of regulating your metabolism. FT3 does this also.
I'm clueless. Do the low numbers mean anything other than I may have a slower metabolism?
This doesn't necessarily mean you may have a slow metabolism, you are on the low end but you are still in the reference range. IF your Thyroxine levels are too low this can lead to you feeling tired, feeling cold, dry skin, depression, and it can cause your LDL to rise (bad cholesterol).
Do not go off exactly what I have said, I am in no way a Dr.. just giving my input.
I will soon be making the switch from my Dr to an Endocrinologist.. you are much better off talking to someone who really knows about hormones
I may be an idiot. Does FT4 even mean free test? Or is that thyroid related.... Yep I'm an idiot
