Something I always wondered about synthol vs frequent gear pinning
So my understanding as to why people use synthol is to stretch the muscle and also cause scarring to make the size added permanent..Now the tutorials I see people are adding 3ml's per muscles and only doing this twice a week.. sometimes three times.. Now I can say muscles I've put the most gear into with one pin do have scarring and do look bigger.. You may also notice this after a few weeks on pinning delts how they seem to have a pump when you're not even working them. So this just makes me wonder couldn't you basically do site enhancement with your gear if you pinned it more frequently in the same muscle rather than synthol?
I did find a thread on a diff site with someone saying they did get the similar effects as using synthol by just pinning certain muscles more frequently with gear.
Let me know what your think or if you've tried this with your gear then share your experiences

I've read that spot injecting doesn't work blah blah but my biggest body parts shoulders and quads are the ones I inject the most. Honestly i think spot injecting stretches the facia. so what about using testosterone undecanoate(nebido)? The half life is around 16 days as an alternative to synthol. Just an idea
Yup the places I inject most have plenty of scar tissue and went from lagging to ahead of other muscles
ClassyChassisIt doesn't take the oil years to go away anymore than the oil in your gear. It eventually makes its way to the portal vein where it's processed by the liver as food. I used to make my own site enhancement oil. All I did was sterilize USP MCT oil (NOW Foods brand) by heating it in a 250 oven for 1/2 hr. I then filtered through a sterile syringe filter and put 98 mls in a 100 ml vial with 2 mls BA to inhibit any possible bacterial growth. (2%)
Medium Chain Tryglyceride oil breaks down more easily than the grape seed or cottonseed oil most of you are injecting now. Some of these "Synthol-type" products were made adding collagen and shit though, trying to make them last longer, or alcohol for inflammation, and that's crazy imo. That's something totally different.
What I did was just add it to the test prop and tren A I was pinning every day. 1 ml prop + 1 ml MCT and 1 ml tren + 1 ml MCT. So 2ml each side. Maybe 2-1/2ml up to 3ml towards the end there. It's best to build up to it. I rotated between lateral delts, inner biceps, rear and lateral triceps, rear delts, outer biceps. It looked pretty awesome, but I didn't get all crazy like my arms are bigger than anything else. If they started getting too out of proportion I'd just switch to the outer edge of my lats or traps for awhile.
If you look at all the physique stars of the 50s-60s, it's obvious they were pinning their gear in their arms and shoulders. All the way from Larry Scott, Bill Pearl, Bill Grimek, etc to Arnold et al these guy's arm and shoulder development were way ahead of the rest of their physiques. And that biceps peak on Albert Beckles? C'mon man. So that's why I say "The oil's gotta go somewhere, may as well put it where it looks good." I don't bother adding extra oil anymore unless I'm pinning a high mg amount, just to spread it out, but I always pin upper body with short esters/frequent injects. In my experience it doesn't take years to go away.
It is also possible that injecting just oil without any gear could add size, not just from scar tissue, but from stretching the fascia. There was a study done years ago where they hung a weight from a bird's wing for 6 weeks or something and at the end, that wing was considerably hypertrophied relative to the other. I learned about extreme stretching from John Parrillo in the 80s and have practiced it religiously ever since. I believe this is also related to the damage/inflammatory response engendered by the negative portion of the rep.
So that's pretty much it.
Good to hear your experience.. Yup I don't see why 3 cc's of gear wouldn't stretch your muscle just like similar to synthol even if it doesn't stick around as long.. and I couldn't find anything about it lasting for years in the muscle lmao
I've never used synthol but the philosophy behind synthol is it takes a lot time to dissolve which expands the muscle. It can take 5 to 10 years before that shit disenagrates and your back to normal. Using regular gear also expands your muscles and tissue and is dissolve in a reputable timeframe. IMHO Synthol is only for those who wish to compete and have to get result quickly. Where as the average gym rat can get similar result over time from just pinning gear.
Pretty much sums it up. Synthol does nothing but expand the fascia and take up space and it does not degrade anytime soon so the oil hangs out for a very long time. Much different than standard carrier oils in aas, which create a small depot a disperse pretty quick. I've never personally done it, not my thing but I have no problems with it. Just about every pro BB uses it and when done right it doesn't look bad. Done wrong, well:

What about the video underneath that? Does this really happen?! Did he put too much at one time or got infected?

Yeah, that's possible. It could be too much at once, an over accumulation over a period of time. It could be non-sterile oil, just like with gear. Also at risk for embolisms with synthol, especially given the volume of oil. Like I said, there are synthol freaks that are the exception, the example of how not to do it. Then there would be just about every single pro bodybuilder that had used it to some degree to bring up something lacking. Shoulders, bis and tris and very common and if done right, wouldn't really look suspect on a pro physique. It all depends on what you're going for. My goals aren't geared in that direction so I would never use it, but I wouldn't fault any aspiring pro/ pro bodybuilder for using it. It's fairly common ground in the upper ranks
Yeah I wasn't planning on taking synthol.. But that's exactly what I was wondering.. If you'd get similar results from gear pins over time.. Now the only thing I'm wondering is would it be ok to pin the same muscle twice a week or even 3 times a week.. I've always waited to pin the same muscle once a week tbh
No1Its not the scarring that causes the muscle to become big on synthol, its the oil which takes years to go away unlike gear thats not there very long at all so thats why you dont notice it
I was under the impression it was both the oil and the scarring from synthol
