As standard practice, no, but some people had good points. If they suspect steroid use, they can pretty much do anything they want with you... they own you. If you have a good relationship with your PO, then you should just be on 'Fast Track' a drop of urine and you get to watch it. Typical tests are just THC, Opiates, Cocaine, and possibly even Amphetamines. I assume this is State as Feds did away with parole a long time. You'd have to be one seasoned veteran of that system to be on their parole books. Hmmm, did the feds ever bring it back? Me, I would not mess with parole, 'trial' for a violation is a joke... your officer says to lock you up... the judge does it. If you must cycle, then keep that PO on your good side, always have your pay stubs, never miss meetings and 'Yes sir, no sir' all the way.
Finally, don't take the word of people like me writing from 5000 miles away and across an ocean, pay attention to what test they are giving you and look it up.
