+ 3 Another Acne forum ?? Well it worked for me.

ad

Yes, another acne related blog only with a bit more knowledge vested. This may put some of you to sleep, others may quit half way through, others may think its hog-wash, but some I hope may benefit from it.
Not only can acne be nasty and infectious looking, but can become mentally taxing as well. Now we are not just talking about a few zits here and there, pop then go away high school shit, we are talking about cystic acne sizes ranging from a pencil eraser to a dime. Pop and squeeze and they just get worse and promote even more due to their infectious puss. For those of you who are not acne prone, god bless .... I am green with envy.

Keyword "Acne" in the search field and see how many hits you get... yeah tons. The vast number of writes will have your head spinning but most of them offer great advice and will direct you toward oily skin and hormonal unbalance as the origin of the problem. Now this particular write up is based on my own experience of trying different methods in an attempt to ease, or wishfully elimination, breakouts. It's just my opinion on what has worked for me.

I must credit other members for their blogs since they too offer valuable information on the whole acne topic. Most all of the member write ups offer great advice, browse them as they are a great source for different views on this topic. Big TREND eventually guided me down the correct path of understanding just why my breakouts were so severe. Thanks bro, love your dedication, and of course...no homo. And who else can offer better advice for keeping skin clean without over drying, avoiding harsh treatments, and steering clear from commercial bullshit creams then a Grrrrl, thank you too dear for your input. ( It's just a ty Goth, save the Canadian cinder block necklace for someone else)
Enough with the credits, here is my story.

I run a 10 week blast cycle then cruise but get severe acne at the beginning, during, and the end of my cycles. Cycles are classic prop 100mg/ed, npp 100mg/eod, tbol as a front loader @ 40mg/ed for the first 5 weeks, and adex .5/eod. Not too difficult to figure out that hormones levels ramping up and down are a huge variable to the whole acne equation.( BTW also have been consulting a dermatologist for treatment but breakouts still occurred, antibiotics and topical creams help but I really wanted to find the root cause of the breakouts. )
I have tried just about everything from drinking a small reservoir daily, to no dairy, to 4 showers a day, to antibiotics and creams. No such luck, just a steady wave of acne.
So whats the answer ?

Balance .

Balance between test and estrogen levels helped control my acne breakouts .

Aside from regular cleansing of 2 showers a day and enough water to drown a baby elephant, my breakouts eased up just by dropping my adex and allowing my estrogen levels to increase creating a higher balance.( Trends brainstorm that came through with a...... BOOOOOOOM)
Don't know the balance ratio or have numbers for levels, but I DO know that when adex was tossed back in for water control...guess what came back ? Considering having levels tested midway/end of cycle when breakouts are controlled just to get a baseline ratio so I can dose my adex correctly. Not prone to gyno, just incorporate adex for water retention since I blow up like a fat tick while cycling.

Good luck to anyone else trying to combat cycle acne.

UPDATE============================================================

Nothing like having your research proven by results, this is what I have learned over the past few weeks.
My blast ended and I shifted into cruise and as my blast testosterone levels began to drop off, along came the break outs once again.

My balance between test/estrogen levels had increased.

Although during blast I did drop in AI as needed, I felt that I had to tighten my ratio. Dropped aromasin 12.5mg/eod for a week, in an attempt to pull my estrogen level in check, and breakouts have just about stopped.
Anxious to get bloods back next week to see what my true ratio is.

How nice would it be to have a home test kit for this?? Perhaps we shall see it on "The shark tank" one day. Smile

how was the bloat with npp?

mhman's picture

Well usually I would kickstart my long ester cycle of test E/deca with prop/npp and turn into a human sponge, but no I do not feel as bloated on this blast even though my dosages and pin frequencies are greater.

Great post. As you said test and estrogen balance is key. I had a worst case scenario with acne on my first cycle. I came off of a 12 week test e / dbol cycle and had bunk nolva and didn't know it until about a month after my PCT (or bunk PCT if you will). I started to break out like crazy all over my shoulders and chest. I went to the derm and they put me on antibiotics and it did not do a damn thing it just kept getting worse. I have never had even mild acne before in my life. Not knowing what else to do the doctor talked me in to going on acutane which for the record I was completely against. About a month in to it I was told I had "accutane induced acne fulminans" To make a long story short it was and is to this day the worst thing that has ever happend to me. I have keloid scars all over my chest that will never go away and the pain was worse than you can imagine. My point being, make sure you always have the proper gear before you start a cycle and don't let your doctor talk you in to taking anything you don't feel comfortable taking.
