AAS and sterility

ad

I think it’s safe to say that just about everyone has heard about steroids affect on reproduction. I am reaching an age and point in my life where I really want to have kids. I’m wondering how many of you guys have had kids AFTER years of AAS use? At this point the damage is done and I used to think that I didn’t want them so I never put much thought into it.
I’ve glanced over studies about the actual amount of sperm reduction and I’m more interested in how much that lowers your chances because you don’t need an extremely high sperm count to have a baby but it definitely helps. Some other information I’m looking for is are there any drugs that help with this and that you can buy from an online vendor? I’ve read about clomid increasing fertility. Looking forward to hearing your feedback!

2002-now, moderate to heavy use, some breaks, maybe 10 B.B. shows. We had our 1st kiddo nearly 2 years ago and will be delivering our 2nd any day. There’s hope but nothing in life is guaranteed.

On a personal level - kids are over-rated.Someone once said to me: 'People with kids and people without kids feel sorry for each other.' No truer truism ever spoken. So, if you can't have kids - don't beat yourself up about it - live a different life than what you expected.

If you want kids see an endo, possibly a fertility specialist and stop juicing. Anything else is just pussy footing around. No disrespect, not no sugar coat either. Best of luck my man

I can only speak from personal experience but i got my wife prego after being off for years, i went on TRT shortly after that and got her prego again. Took less than 3 months each time after the "goalie" was pulled. If sperm count is low or swimmers are slow do it more often. Bro science says more volume increases the chances and its fun. We just started trying for our 3rd.

I'm currently going to a reproductive Dr my count is normal but don't swim very well I asked her about Clomid and she told that Clomid plays no part in a mans count or its ability for helpping improve it.

If the guy has hypogonadotropic hypogonadism then Clomid won't do anything since his pituitary doesn't produce FSH and LH. The direct stimulation with HMG and HCG is probably going to provide faster results regardless, but at a higher cost than Clomid.

Dacky's picture

Not true. It really depends on the cause of the hypogondotropic hypogonadism. If he has hypergonadotropic hypogonadism then yes taking clomid or any gonodatropic hormone (rLH/rFSH for analogs (HCG/HMG) won’t do shit. Clomid can be a very successful treatment for certain types of hypogondotropic hypogonadism.

DragonDog's picture

Granted. People like myself with hypogonadotropic hypogonadism (HH) due adenomas, and now Empty Sella have no chance - nothing left to stimulate. However, a small percentage of people with those areas still intact may actually have a reversal of the HH with that type of treatment. AAS induced HH is treated this way in combination with hCG, PCT. I would gather alcohol induced HH can be treated the same way. His doc is really screwing him. Thanks. +1

HMG HCG may be of use to you!

This advice ^^^^. HGH and Mesterolone may help also. I used all four together and had success after having a count of zero for years.

If you were fertile before gear you’ll be fertile after, it’s not to say it will be a bumpy road.

Bignorthan's picture

That is true mate when i stopped using aas my sperm count was a 2million and no motility before use when trying for my first it was 24 million its now been 2 years and only just back to normal and as you said it was a bumpy road

Protein4breakfast's picture

Did you take any substances to help with the process of getting back to normal? Or was it just regular pct and two years off? Thanks for the feedback

Clomiphene and hcg can help but affect different parts of the HPG axis. If your pituitary is still shut down from gear, use Clomid; if your balls have atrophied (this should require years of use) use hcg. Getting a fertility and blood test (include LH, FSH and maybe GnRH) should reveal where you are at and how you should proceed. Good luck!

Steroids made me as barren and dry as a desert.

When I was in my early twenties, I foolishly decided to run a pro-hormone cycle, without having knowledge of a proper PCT protocol. I am lucky I didn't completely fuck my liver to boot (not what you're asking about, I know). All that aside, my HPTA rebounded, and I had kids just a couple short years later. I don't know if my particular response applies, as I am assuming you have carried out a proper PCT after each cycle; even so, everyone responds differently to supraphysiological dosages of these powerful hormones.

Short answer: You need a fertility test to find out for sure if everything is still working properly.

Not only have I had kids I've produced them while on cycle. Might be different for someone else but I've never had a problem.

Get tested like these guys said below and go from there. It’s easier than you think for some - https://www.eroids.com/pics/hcg-on-cycletrt-and-fertility-proof-of-concept

And thats about as simple a protocol to retain fertility on cycle as you can get. There are plenty of fertility restoration protocols depending on your unique position. Get the test first plus blood work - full hormone panel etc once off cycle and at least 3 months post PCT and go from there. Hit me up at that point and we can discus.

Thanks for the link it’s exactly what I was looking for. I’m surprised I missed it when first posted. Currently starting the process of getting some tests done.

You should test yourself, it's not so hard and expensive. But you will know for sure what's the problem, no problem, count, motility etc. Me myself at the moment are doing hard research and trying to get her pregnant. Best of luck mate.
