Listing Members from highest to lowest Karma
ad
I know someone had suggested that we rank members to give sources a reference, but what if we just listed highest karma to lowest karma??? In addition to having a descending numerical ranking, having some form of specialized knowledge out to the side of particular members, to help younger members target vets with specialized knowledge. Obviously we all know karma is not the true measure of ones knowledge, but for the most part Lvl3's and up are a pretty safe bet for some educated guidance or at least the wisdom to point someone in the right direction. Again this is not trying to put those with high karma on a pedestal, but help younger members try and locate senior members/mentors.

Why prejudge someone just because they have low karma?
MAYBE they're amongst the ones who don't upload pics with their Mrs' bits on just to up their karma points like many of the new members, and some older members are too, yet have years of experience using the juice.
Too many negatives than positives on this one, in MY opinion, Mate.
I can agree on this. There are member who have been here for a very long time and have low karma but are very knowledgable. Maybe list them from oldest accounts to newest accounts. Maybe list them several different ways. Start date of account, karma, number of forums they have started, gear pics uploaded, self pics uploaded. Just some ideas. This way you'll see that some body got the 200 of their karma points by self pics versus 25 of their points they received from forum up votes.
AnonI agree and I think there should be a way to weed that out, for the good of the new members
Some higher karma members don't bank on many pics at all. But I def see your point. It's no doubt gotten out if hand. I wouldn't mind seeing tags awarded by admin team vs karma. Then change the word karma to "contribution awards points"
He wasnt trying to prejudge ..I agree that being able to spot the higher karma members easier would be great but at the same time it might bring some unwanted attention. I believe members should be able to freely offer info and advice to whom ever they see fit. And that takes alot away for the countless research that one takes when finding the right vet to talk to. Guru ,pro,lv1 ,2,3 w.e. .if a member really has a thirst for knowledge they should seek these ppl out not look them up easily on a phone book.lol just my 2 cents
AnonCould be unwanted attention, but to have certain people listed as "specialist" as voter on by their peers or something would be nice
I didn't mean Goliath90 was prejudging members within my comment. I meant members in general COULD have the ability to prejudge someone with higher karma points than others.
I've seen some members with 100+ karma points talking about gear and cycles who I personally wouldn't ask to put the kettle on, let alone ask them for advice.
IF my original comment gave that assumption about you Goliath, then I apologise. You know me better than that, Mate.
But my original opinion obviously still stands, I disagree that we should have this check list.
AnonI definitely and completely agree with everyone on the fact that karma sometimes means very little with over all knowledge...maybe 50-50...who knows. Point is, as I was coming along eroids in the beginning for example, if I had a question about HGH, everyone referred me to Tread. If there are questions about competitions contact Viking. I think having a specialist listing would be great to be able to target questions better
valhallas bestive met people with no karma who have just as much knowledge or more than anyone on here....
AnonI agree, but I think it would be helpful to identify specialist
