Hair Loss on Clomiphene
Anybody here experience hair loss on Clomid? I used to think that somehow I was experiencing some sort of delayed reaction to the steroids I was taking on-cycle when this would happen during PCT. This time around I am pretty certain it's the Clomid. The shedding is utterly horrific.
I am going to be forced to stop taking it 2 weeks into PCT.
I don't tend to have estrogen related problems/gyno, so my PCT these days is Clomid only instead of Clomid+Nolva, as my only concern is restoring natty test.
I do have a lot of Nolva on hand.
What should I do? It's my understanding that Nolva doesn't do much in the way of natty test.
Will I bounce back to normal test production without PCT drugs? Or do I need to take something. Maybe Nolva is better than nothing? Maybe look into OTC options?
Thank you.

First, I learn that Nolvadex is better for nat test restore than Clomid, now something equally as valuable - my hair loss has nothing to do with Clomid. I've been reading up on this and here's what I found out..
DHT related hair loss from a steroid cycle is often experienced late in the cycle and/or post cycle, depending upon the cycle duration. This is due to the time it takes DHT levels to rise and do their thing. There is always a delay, 1-2 months before you will notice the effect on the scalp.
I was missing the mark with my assumption that Clomid was the problem. The problem was the M1T.
It's a good thing I'm here to answer my own questions. I should be allowed to give myself points.
I'm really surprised nobody here set me straight about Nolvadex. Nolvadex is the solution to my problem! In fact, it's better for nat test restore, despite what many people think according to William Llewellyn. I assume you guys have already seen this?

I did myself a great disservice by stopping my Clomid PCT, and replacing with Aromasin while I should have been taking Nolva. Aromasin doesn't work as a stand alone PCT for reasons I'm sure you guys already know. Nolva, on the other hand probably would have restored me by now if I had been taking it. I'm 5 weeks into PCT, with very low T. No sex drive and quite tired. Testes are normal sized and not raisins so I'm past the phase of needing HCG.
Hopefully this second Novla PCT that I'm starting now will fix me up. (Now I'm even willing to use Clomid again and take the hair-loss hit if in any way it might help restore me as well. I'm kinda concerned about my lack of sex drive.
delete this.
I just read a post here:
http://www.eroids.com/forum/steroids-qa/pct-anti-estrogens/pct-and-aromasin
..and one of the followup comments containing an article explaining why Nolva is better than Clomid, not only for gyno but to restore nat test too. Mind blown. If this is correct, than I have all the wrong information.
Additionally the post itself seems to really favor the notion that Aromasin is very good for PCT. I have Aromasin!
So I'm going to stop Clomid and change my PCT to Novla and Aromasin. Hopefully my hair loss will stop.
Come on here.... You read one cut and past response (with no links and/or references) and now you're dropping Clomid? I know you have a concern, but it doesn't mean your hair loss is related to your clomid use. How about researching the topic further than one article. I can tell you that many of folks here have researched it and they still come to the same conclusion: The nolva/clomid COMBO works. Even that article says it does. It's just suggesting possible other options. It's not saying don't use clomid.
Yes, I was thinking the same thing in regard to a post without links and references shortly after I said what I said.
However, I am experiencing severe hair loss on Clomid. When I googled it, there are pages of results with women using Clomid for it's intended purpose whom are reporting the same exact frightening rate of shedding. It's clear to me that I am one of the unlucky ones that experiences hair loss on this drug, so I'm going to be much quicker to jump on an alternative, which is why I was pleased to read that post I linked to and the followup comment on that post. I'm going to have to research this more. As for now, I have no choice as to stop taking Clomid. :(
I get where you're coming from, but I just wanted you to be sure to research it fully. I've read some hair loss articles as well, but I also read where many of them had it grow back. I just don't want you to compromise your recovery. You're not in the best or easiest position here, so I just wanted to make sure that you fully research your options and make the best decision for you. Keep us updated.
