+ 8 Sources begging for votes, users begging for gear
ad
This violates our rules, but more importantly has the potential to screw up our ranking system. I'm not going to let you do that. High or low ranking, vets or newbies, you will get yourself banned and sources will be penalized.

Bump
is there an appropriate way to ask for sponsorship in the next ebc or should that be avoided?
Typically guys just approach sources. But with the new guidelines ,let us go over it and get back to you.
Thanks Nitti
There are a couple of things to remember that would keep people honest...
You are worth more to the source than the source is to you.
If you're above reproach, you increase your worth. And other reputable sources may seek you out.
You should be getting blood work anyway. If you keep telling yourself you can't afford it, this is your opportunity. Blood work will remove bias where it counts the most. and makes the review a no brainer.
Always let others know in your review that you are reviewing a promo.
When in doubt when an offer is made in PM ask a mod.

Easy nuff
I see what you are getting at about rating a source on more that 1 or 2 products but for most of us that would never happen. I know that I haven't ran every product from a source and probably never will. I believe I can judge a product within a couple weeks but then again I've ran all short esters and some orals. When it comes to the 10-15 whatever reviews I've written over the past almost 2 years they are 95% short ester test/mast/tren/tne/dbol/anadrol/viagra/cialis/ai's. So as far as that goes its pretty easy to get that many reviews in. I've only made a couple large orders. I prefer to keep em smaller since I'm not ballin' by any means. There's been quite a few of these little free promos also and if you partake it is your responsibility to write a review whether its positive or not. I guess those have added up over time.
you should be able to get a feel for just about every oral, ai's and short ester in less than a month....
AnonI tend to just put up.a reveiw after the gear is gone...this way there is no question
Buildbigger86x 2 var for instance 10 days of good var will notice a difference for sure in my opinion
I was just reading thru your reviews. good stuff
And yes, I was being sarcastic...
The only long esters I have in stash are test e/ eq(which i waited like 10 weeks or longer to review)/deca and tren e(both never used yet) I just like fat acting compounds cause you know quickly if they're good or not... things like tne/viagra,ect you know in hours
I have a big ass Ban hammer ready and waiting!
Buildbigger86BFG,I HEAR YOU LOUD AND CLEAR MY FRIEND!!!
so no more free gear for honest review promos? hmmm
The reviews aren't honest when the source asks for 10 stars and the member obliges because he/she feels obligated!
AnonDo you think people feel obligated if they get gear from a free promo ?
AnonI dont feel no obligation. ....if it no good i will say it......anything at all i dont like i will say it....i have caught some crap from a source because i was honest but i dont care
AnonYou may have a stronger constitution than many. Im sure there are a lot of guys here who would speak up, but are they/ you the majority ?
I agree with Nov! I believe it can be supported with the fact that many times we see sources get unwavering support from others even when some guy is getting the run around from a source on getting his order. I believe many here would and could not have there integrity bought but I also believe many could.
Yes.
Could the review be an honest 5x10 stars inspite of the "coercion"? Yes
But more importantly would you want ANY question of impropriety when making a decision about a source. Or, for that matter, as a source, would you want anyone to question the integrity of you or your gear?
Best for all parties to keep all cards on the table; no backroom deals.
Think about it, what motivation is there for a "gear for votes" promo if your gear and service can stand on its own?
AnonWell thats why Im torn about free promos for reviews. Even with keeping cards on the table, the votes still get counted, so a source could climb ranking just by giving a ton of gear away , which would skew the perception.
I don't agree. If I go into a supermarket and get a free sample of a hot pocket I might spit it out in disgust and not give it another thought, or I might buy some and tell my friends about this great new product I discovered at the store. That's not skewed perception, that's honest advertising.
If I was a "paid" sponsor, (which is what gear for votes amounts to), I will profess the greatness of the product irrespective of my true feelings for it.
AnonAh now could you explain to your boy Slick that what you just did here was give an anology.
OK the trouble with the free bite of hot pocket and gear is sseveral. First the lady with the hair net doesnt know my address , second she didnt go to a whole lot of trouble or give me anything of great value, Lastly how do you think most gear is judged ? Id bet pip and customer service are the primary factors. If a guy gets pip, he daint like it, if the guy feels brushed off he daint like it. But I highly doubt hes sending two bottles of his test cyp250 to be measured for purity, so if they are close which one will get the better review ? The one for free.
It all boils down to integrity; I agree.
bloods show "quality" is good, perhaps overdosed, PIP is high; 8 stars
pricing average for the quality; 7 stars
service sucked -odd because of the promo; 3 stars
delivery, as promised.: 10 stars
Total score: 28
Comments: I was surprised I got such poor service being that he was sending me a promo for his product.
The gear caused severe PIP in my delt, not so much in my glute. Overall I'd use him again if his service improved.
Anonplease dont get confused based on my post, what he was saying had nothing to do with free promos .
I was simply adding in a question and in retrospect Im wondering if it may only confuse things.
That's not what he said.
Wrong: give me 5x10 stars and I'll give you free gear
Wrong: give me free gear and I'll give you 5x10 stars and talk you up.
Right: I'm sure you'll love my gear, try it for free, all I ask is that you'd post an honest review afterwards.
Right: Fathers Day sale. One free bottle of test-e for every 2 purchased.
Right: This is a large order, are you able to offer me some sort of discount?
Nice analogys
Anonthose are examples not analogies
They are both an analogy is an example explaining a similar phenomenon.
Anonnot seeing any analogy. An analogy is a comparitive explanation. There is no comparitive here.
Whatever I agree, the stuff Greg wrote is good, but its all example to me.
This has all surpassed my high school English skills.
Buildbigger86x 3 on that my man
RustyhookerX2! Bingo!
AnonWarning heard loud and clear and thank you, you are dead right as always , but a question .
I heard you were on the fence about allowing free promos because it too can manipulate rankings and listings. Is that the case ?
Give them a vote if you find it helpful.PermalinkBuildbigger86I have heard that to my man
Ain't nothing in this world for free....
Well said BFG. Happening too often.
