Post pinning muscles spasms

ad

Just curious to see if anyone experienced this.

Today after pinning 200 mg NPP in my shoulder –no pip, no balling– my shoulder went into a spasm –not painful– but looked like it was hook up to an electrical charge. Lasted about 15 minutes and it went.

My guess is that I probably hit a nerve but not sure about it.

Anybody experience this?

Definitely nerves. I've had similar shit a few times by pinning my calves. Hit a nerve, hurted as fuck, spasms were lasting a few minutes. Looked funny, but really sucked. I really don't recommend pinning calves Smile

Yes it's rare but it happens....like you said, most likely a nerve!

It happens. Most times I can pin and not feel anything. Other times if I hit a nerve (or even get close to it), my muscles will spasm.

When pinning, the needle displaces muscle while it is in (even if it is just a tiny bit), so even when you don't hit a nerve directly, the pressure will sometimes cause spasms. You were likely very close to the nerve, but didn't hit it IMO. When I hit a nerve, it feels like my leg got charley horsed for a couple days. Different kind of sore than PIP.

Edit: I usually pin quads - hence my anecdote about pinning legs. I imagine this goes for other muscles as well

Yup, nerve. Sucks. Not much to do but watch where you pin, there’s a major set of nerves that runs down the anterior delt. Steer clear of them.
