Heard from someone in his family circle that Gustavo has died. Stroke supposedly at 50yrs of age. Not too many information out on the web about it at the moment, as if just happened not very long ago, hours. I did find that article/link posted above. Condolences to his loved ones, dude had a great physique and was very nice/approachable individual, in comparison to most Pros Ive met. Met him first time at the Arnold Classic in early 2000s then ran into him again few more times after that and was very kind and honest about things, surprisingly. RIP

He's have a incredible body, shoulders, back, pecs,, triceps, biceps, forams, legs and if i have well understand very genteman ;-)

Wow. He was downsized and in good shape which was the good move but...no body know when his time will come. I liked him a LOT !
Yea he downsized after retiring for sure, due to kidney issues. His own sister donated one of her kidneys to him and he was doing well, but apparently the lure of big muscles and nostalgia got the better of him. As he opted for getting big again, started up the bodybuilding lifestyle and back on PEDs against doctor's advice and here is the outcome. Or so they say.
I didn't know about those health issues. Just like the judges at Mr O 2005 I had no problem seeing him Mr O than year. 2005 He should have placed 2nd MINIMUM !!
I agree. His best O placing was 3rd, behind Ronnie and Jay. Still a great achievement though but if it's wasn't for the ronnie/Jay rivalry I believe he could've placed better 2nd or 1st IMO, but rivalry was THE money maker just like kai/phil.
