+ 2 ARL fixing stopper issue
ad
I realize im not crazy now because other people have the same issue and these pics show I pinned the bottle 3 times and there are 3 stopper pieces in the vial. I have contacted ARL and he realizes the issue and is changing the stoppers in the up coming weeks. Im satisfied with the product and now that he is changing the stoppers I am very happy.

I have been hitting the same hole in the vial. Seems to work, nothing seems to break off.
using an 18 may make it worse just use the same ones as your pinning... the size I mean.
I use 20g to draw and dont have 18. Id imagine using something like a 23 could help prevent the stopper from tearing
ARL also told me by pm this week that stoppers would be changed soon.
I bet they buy 10,000 at a time
Hope they really do switch them I would gladly pay an extra $1 to avoid this problem we have all seemed to experience.
If its the stopper quality then yes I would also pay a little more to get better stoppers
BlutoI threw out a lot of gear over the stopper thing. Now that was me being lazy because I could have fixed it.
BlutoARL knew this problem years ago. I was told the same thing you was over 2 years ago. I do not think they have bad stoppers. I think they are heating the stoppers up way to much. Maybe they heat multiple times or at to high of temp. This makes the stoppers brittle and I think is the answer to the problem.
Maybe it
BlutoI have seen it happen. Not guessing.
Besides using smaller drawing needles there's also a technique to withdrawing properly but I don't rmemebr it lol.. Something like u slide the longer part of the needle in on an angle then go straight down.. Should stop the issue hope that helps with the rest of ur vials
Never heard of it. Ill have to look.
You got a different vial to switch it too?
What size pin are you using to draw?
20g to draw. And i dont see a reason for me to switch it to another vial. I use the same vial and I just need to make sure I dont draw the stopper pieces. Im glad he realized the issue and is solving it. I like ARL gear.
Try using a 23 guage next time. It helps!
All my syringes come with a 20g. I may need to waste some extra pins. Throw the 20g that comes with it out put a 23 on and then switch to another 23 to pin.. Ill try it.
