ad

Man, it's been a minute. Sometimes life just gets busy, and before you know it: It's been months!

Still been meal prepping most weeks, and the weight has been shedding nicely. Been running 1mg of Reta now for awhile weekly, and I feel like it's worked well combined with tracking macros.

So let's dive into this week.

0700 - Four shots of espresso, plain.

0800 - Breakfast Bagel (Bacon, Cheese, Bagel thin)

1000 - Drinkable Yogurt Shake (Will dive into, in the comments)

1300 - Ground Turkey, Mozz Cheese, Taco Seasoning.

1600 - Drinkable Yogurt Shake #2

Dinner - Regular portion of whatever the wifey makes.

Calories - ~1927kcal

Protein - ~263g

Fat - ~49g

Carbs - ~104g

I'll dive a little deeper on each thing in the comments. I've made alot of this before, and have been eating it for months.

Photos in the comments!

+1 for a diet post. A lot of guys get lost in the gear and forget about the most important thing. Nice to see something different. Keep it going bud

Cheers man. I did them weekly there for awhile, just to showcase what I was doing and got some great input from others and recipes. Everything we do, requires the work in the kitchen beforehand!

I heard they were serving Yogurt Shakes over at The Blue Oyster Bar.
Is this the same thing?

Only if you dance the El Bimbo!

Dancing usually leads to yogurt shakes which is why I am asking. The Blue Oyster Bar is known for dancing. Lots of dancing.

Yogurt no good only 30% gets absorbed by the intestines drink kefir
Many probiotics in yogurt are destroyed by harsh stomach acids. Some sources suggest that less than 1/10th of 1% to as low as 30% of the good bacteria actually reach the intestines alive.

I believe, that statistic is only for calcium bio availability. The other nutrients are absorbed at much higher rates (90-95%).

For the above response.

I've never actually dug into the probiotics side though, do you got anything on the benefits to share? I've seen a ton of probiotic drinks pop up last few years.

HEB has some from the Lifeway brand. https://www.heb.com/product-detail/lifeway-original-kefir/1999979

Lastly, lunch! I've found that this combo slaps every single week.

One of the tricks I've found it microwaving it for 30 seconds, then mixing the cheese with whatever juices come from the meat for a few seconds, then finishing it off with another minute. Once hot, mix vigorously and the cheese and juices mix and almost become a little soupy/sticky.

Has really made this an easy meal to scarf down in 5-10 minutes. Best part, is you can add something every single days.

Fritos? Salsa? Sour Cream? Doritos? Shit, it's endless. Most days I keep it like it is, though when you're craving it's so adjustable.

For the longest time, I was avoiding real bacon and limiting myself on real meat. Always opting for turkey or chicken.

Though, honestly having some solid fat in the morning has gone such a long way for my mood. Read and article awhile back talking about the need for dietary fats in our meal prep, and how they help with hormone production, acting as the structural building block for steroid hormones like estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, and cortisol.

Been doing my best to limiting it to the morning meals, so mentally I "feel like I worked it off" when I hit the gym at eleven lol.

Ever tried making these? Honestly for the longest time, they were driving me nuts.

Would either come of super foamy, or full of so much air that you'd fill a shaker bottle and the next day it was half.

What finally worked for me was blending everything but the yogurt first, on high. The dumping the whole tub of yogurt in, and blending for a 30 seconds on the lowest setting my Ninja blender would do.

Now, pours easy, drinks easy, and stays consistent.
