+ 1 Endocrinologist question
After finding out a couple months back that i have very low testosterone/hormone levels from my previous steroid usage my endocrinologist had me get a brain MRI yesterday. She called me back today and told me everything on the MRI is normal, she then went on to say that i have ONLY TWO options. One being wait for my HPTA to awaken naturally and second is to get on TRT. I told her that there has to be other options like some sort of kickstart for my HPTA and she says that she is not qualified for that and i need to see a endocrinologist that specializes in that area. I am at a loss right now and really need some advice. I want to either find an endocrinologist that has lots of experience in this situation i am in or start my own HPTA restart. What type of endocrinologist should i be looking for, i assumed they were all the same but i guess not. I think she said reproductive endocrinologist but i could be wrong.

Does anyone know of any vitamins or herbs that help increase test/hormone levels? I have decided to wait another month and get some blood work done before seeking an experienced endocrinologist. I am going to see if my HPTA will awaken over time.
any endocrinologist will do, but reproductive would be good or just a general endo
well not in my case the endo i am seeing now isn't able to do a fucking thing besides prescribe me Test which i think is pretty fucking stupid to even mention that to someone my age without trying all other options.
RustyhookerA few of the guys were sent to reproductive endo. Hcg was used to get system booted. I'd work with endo closely at this piint in time. Then if trt is the final option, you can get dualed in fully with human grade test, adex etc. You'll have your system mapped out by blood tests. Eliminates any questions and makes every answer backed by science.
thank you im going to try and get a referral to mass general endocrine unit. I am sure they will have the experience. My insurance will cover me even if i mention the steroid usage correct?
RustyhookerI would not talk steroids at all. If tgey put that fact into your files your insurer May reject you. Anyone "shooting" drugs is high risk in the eyes of paper pushers. Same level as heroine addicts. You're simply suffering low testosterone. Thats all.
well then how are they going to fix the problem if they dont even know what caused it? That is pretty ridiculous i told my primary care already and all the lab work was covered and the brain MRI also. i thought that shit is confidential.
AnonI wish I could offer you a better answer, but this is not a one size fits all approach...either for the doc or the patient.
We use pct in theory to kick start natty production, which it can do...but only to a point. Anything exogenously entered into the system bypasses other natural functions which are clearly not working at this point for you. Now, some people get what they need out of the kick start....but, others get more suppression. Suppression of things like LH, FSH, precursors to the production and release of those hormones...
I'm not trying to be a bummer. You are on the right track by looking for an endo with experience in this specific field. It is so individualized I won't even bother to ask you all the usual questions like how long it's been, how many cycles, what kind of compounds...
I would say that if you didn't get a full metabolic and hormone panel in addition to the scan and T levels you should do so. There may not be a tumor, but you could potentially find there are some relational issues between multiple hormones or even organs that could be enlightening.
+1 for your troubles, and good luck.
I got this a couple weeks ago http://www.eroids.com/pics/bloodwork-2-after-being-shutdown
along with liver tests and that is all normal. I am afraid because right now i feel fucking awesome, i still hit the gym and fuck my girl like crazy.I honestly don't think i have 1 symptom of low T. You think starting a pct could further hurt me?
