Time after a meal to have an "empty stomach" ?

ad

Hey guys,
do you think 2 hours after a mixed meal with protein, carbs and fats should be plenty to consider my stomach "empty" even if the food is obviously not digested completely yet ? Full effects of pre workout supplements or things like caffeine should be kickin in, right ?

Thanks

I would never waste a worry wondering if a meal 2 hours prior to training is going to interfere with the caffeine you intend to ingest.

And to answer your question more thoroughly, the only time I consider my stomach empty is after a fast in the morning before my first meal.

Anything in your stomach aside from ingested water is not considered empty

Hello Sir,

Welcome to eRoids community first of all. I would not worry about this too much, main thing you are feeling comfortable. If you start your workout and only think how not to puke well obviously you would need to reconsider you meal timing or redistribute portions.
A nice cup of strong coffee always does wonders to me and following workout, whether I had my meal 10 min ago or 2 hours ago.

Regards

I think your over thinking this mate , if I use any pre workout or high dose caffeine before going to the gym its never on an empty stomach and I still get the benefits from caffeine or if I'm taking a preworkout shake with stimulants . I wouldn't have the energy to train on an empty stomach

That's very true. Also, you take a potent preworkout on an empty stomach and you'll probably wish you hadn't.....

I'll use one sometimes on the weekends when working out very early, but always after food. Work out in the evenings during the weekdays, so no pwo.

You're supposed to take Cialis on an empty stomach too and I have read to wait like 3 hours after a meal.
