Lean enough to start bulking again?

Cutting a little before my next bulking cycle, but want to make sure I get lean enough to take advantage of nutrient partitioning and good insulin sensitivity
Plan is to cut for the rest of this week and the following 2 weeks to drop around 6 more pounds with a 1000cal deficit (only been a 6 week cut total) and then begin bulking
230.8 in this pic, 6'2", unflexed, first thing in morning, decent lighting Let me know what you think as far as if I will be ready in 2.5 weeks
(PS I'm not a bodybuilder, I'm a powerlifter, but want to make sure I at least keep decent body composition to maximize muscle gains and get stronger)

1000cal deficit is a pretty large drop. I would be real concerned about losing a good chunk of muscle. If you are dropping more than 2+ lbs/wk there likely is some muscle loss occuring (unless you are really fat to start out with). Get some calipers and see where you stand with your BF%.

Yeah normally if I was cutting I would be in the 1.5 range, but I would also be going for 12ish weeks

From what I understand, this rate can be ok for the short term (I only started last week with 1000 cal and plan to go for a total of 4 weeks at this level. I was at 500 and then 750 the two weeks previous) and then longer than that you are in danger of losing muscle as you said and more subject to negative metabolic adaptations.

Fat loss is right around 1.5-2 a week right now though. Its been slightly less than 1000cal deficit b/c I don't count veggies at the moment, and have been having like 10 servings a day on the cut to fill me, and even 20 servings when I make "cheat" meals with veggies so this hurts my deficit a little bit.

Trying to preserve muscle by keeping volume high with accessory work with 3-4x frequency and working in the low rep ranges (2-4) every workout as well, as has been my progression for this block in powerlifting

Any recommended calipers?
I'm also getting a DEXA scan 9/4 so can update then

Any recommended calipers?

Cheapest pair you can find on Amazon. Nothing fancy about calipers.

Cool. But do you think by 2.5 weeks I would be ready assuming an extra 4.5-6lb drop? Just looking for recommendation
