PrivateMDLabs is a great way to get your lab test done privately without having to go through your insurance company. That way the results are yours and no one else needs to see them. PrivateMDLabs works with LabCorp, which has offices all over the US. Besides most test important to bodybuilders and TRT users (full blood panel, lipid, hormone levels), they also do just about any test you would normally get done (drug test, HIV, STD, hepatitis, diabetes, cancer). So, no one but you have to know if your results are abnormal.

The set-up is easy. You go to their website, sign up for a test, pay with credit card/debit card, print out the test instructions, go to the nearest LabCorp lab, show your id (they did not ask for mine but that was just my local lab), give them your blood or urine, and within a week you check their website for your results (you create your own user name and pasword where test results can show up).

Now the best part. If you try to do a home test for testosterone, not only would it take longer but it would cost between $50-$80 and give limited information. PrivateMDLabs has what they call a "Hormone Panel for Females" (It is just the name they gave it as it can be ordered by males or females) that cost $63. That panel gives you:

Estradiol, serum; Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH); Luteinizing Hormone (LH); Testosterone, serum; Complete Blood Count (CBC): Hematocrit; hemoglobin; mean corpuscular volume (MCV); mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH); mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC); red cell distribution width (RDW); percentage and absolute differential counts; platelet count; red cell count; white blood cell count; immature granulocytes. Comprehensive Metabolic Profile (CMP): A:G ratio; albumin, serum; alkaline phosphatase, serum; ALT (SGPT); AST (SGOT); bilirubin, total; BUN; BUN:creatinine ratio; calcium, serum; carbon dioxide, total; chloride, serum; creatinine, serum; globulin, total; glucose, serum; potassium, serum; protein, total, serum; sodium, serum.

So, basically you get the information you need to keep track of how your body is reacting to supplements. Also, if you search their name on the web, you will find a 15% discount, making the test $53.

I recently (4 days ago) took the "Hormone Panel for Males" so I can also have my lipids, thyroid, and PSA before I start my next cycle. During my cycle I will take the "Hormone Panel for Female" every other week and then after the cycle retake the "Horone Panel for Males". However, I found out my AST is elevated (signs that the liver is having issues) and my testosterone (@306) and total cholesterol (@95) are both low. This is caused by my statin medication, which I will have to correct before I can start a cycle. So I will stop taking the statins for a month, take Milk Thistle, and retest to see if my liver is ok. That is how helpful these test can be.

I highly recommend using them to have better control and understanding of the effects of your supplements and prescribed medicines.

Private MD Labs charged ma $60 for a certain hormone testing, and a week later I got a Labcorp invoice for $400. Aside from the serum hormone results there was a blood panel with a few other markers , which I never purchased and requested, and the website staff told me it was done by accident. Now they are trying to"reach a decision and inform me on an outcome. "??? How outrageous that sounds?! I have been using 2 other sites for testing for years, and this was the first time I ve tried those people and will definitely will be the LAST! Lack of professionalism and no competence!
