What do you guys do to gain neck size?

Back in the day I had a head strap with a chain to attach the desired weight, then work your neck from your back and stomach. I am sure in more ways then one this technique was a risk for injury, plus gyms wont carry this device do to cleanliness. What techniques do you guys do?

my traps were always meh until I started focusing on rear delts a lot
working them 5x pr week brought my rd's up but also rhoms and traps as a result got much bigger than they were
its worth trying more volume and more tut across those areas, see what happens

jayiskI have used a weighted 4 way neck machine after almost every workout for about 20 yrs. funny thing was it wasnt for neck size it was so I could take a strike to the head if someone ever tried that. Actually heavy Dead lifts, squats and good mornings helped my neck get huge.
the gym took away the weighted 4 way neck machine so i started doing these. they work and help with your traps. I can tell by the settings on my CPAP machine. i do them after each workout. i workout every other day. Last time i checked my neck size was 21 in.

I used to rock out to that group in my teen years. Cropsegrinder's neck is humongous! There are many metal singers who have huge necks from all the headbanging they do at every show. George probably takes the cake, though.

I bought the head strap and chain on Amazon. I use very light weight and move slow to ensure I don't hurt myself.
Every afternoon I go to my favourite coffee shop. I order my coffee, water and sugar-free cookie and watch the pretty girls go walking by...great neck exercise...no shit. :-)

I carry multiple plates of food from the kitchen to the table every day multiple times a day. I have this tendency to shrug my shoulders and neck in attempts to balance the weights of the plates. I do this without realizing it until recently. My neck size has increased about an inch over the last 6 months of me doing this. Irony
I recently bought one of those head straps that you can attach weights to. Supposed to work your neck and it does. i recommend it.
Gotta hate those pencil necks.

Since Ive started to go heavy on squats my neck haa seemed to expand and thicken up.
It is probably from all the Chinese faces you make.

Indirectly heavy deadlifts and rowing with help the traps quite a bit. Shrugs with barbell and dumb bell of course. Many go way too heavy to allow for a full range of motion. In order to get the most lighten the weight, maximized the stretch and contracted portion of the exercise.
Another fantastic exercise is the upright row. I prefer the EZ bar when doing these. Flare your elbow up and out and you pull the bar high, this will emphasis the traps to the max. Another great variation is doing uprights with the cables so really focus on the mind muscle connection and the burn.
A few oldies but tremendous goodies would be the old school pushpress , this will increase the thickness of the entire area of the shoulders and traps. Likewise High-Pulls is another terrific old school movement that put maximum emphasis on the traps in the contracted position. I hope this helps brother.

Haha good question. My traps are huge so i think that shrugs help the neck alot.
Just go balls to the wall when you go down on the Mrs ;) I always get a severe neck pump then ;) hahahaha
I should have a 40" neck if that was the case haha
