Is it possible to maintain gains during quarantine?

ad

Hello, I want to create a post where you can discuss about how you maintain gains or do cycles when you are not able to go into a gym.

  • How did you changed training when you can train only in a home/garage gym even when you are in a cycle now?

  • Is it a big deal for you to train in an environment where you dont have all required equipment?

  • Dont you think it is a waste of a cycle gear to train in a home/garage gym?

  • Would you start a next cycle with only a home/garage gym equipment?

  • Do you make a living with bodybuilding or like a fitness trainer?

I live in Czech Republic, situation here is very very bad and Im glad to have a good garage gym (I can a post a picture but I dont know where)
To train in a gym where is no mirrors, little bit cold temperature and old dumbbels and only with a squat stand, bench and some kettlebels is a good reminder of old golden era!
Its not ideal, but I think its possible to train like a beast here even when you are used to train in a gym where you have everything.

My day looks like this: Wake up early in the morning like 8am, breakfast, work at home and after lunch I go to my office. Gym after online meetings in office, mostly after 4pm. In the gym I try to train every muscle separated in two days. Then I go for a dinner and back to office. After 8pm I go from office back to home.
I workout alone in the gym, max with 1 more friend of mine or coleague. I try to avoid people.
Between breakfast, lunch and dinner I eat more food, but thats not the point.
I just want to know how your day looks in a quarantine when you run a cycle.

How is your situation? Can you go to gym now without any restriction? And how about you guys who are in a middle of cycle and you can train only at home?

Health is our priority and I hope everyone of us will maintain a decent amount of gains!

Most things you can do in a gym, you can do at home. If you have a garage, basement, or spare room, you can buy equipment. I had a very well equipped home gym back in the day. As I moved, I often had to downsize. Right now, I have a power rack, lat machine, bench, lots of bars, and plates. That's all I need to train hard. True, the gym has machines, but give me squats, deadlifts, and bench presses over any machine any day.

As a family we've adapted well and easy to lock down life. Trips in our camper, home gym in New Garden project. Enjoying being together as a family making loads of memories.

Half the battle in life is in your mind, once you can grasp a control over this... Your capable of amazing things.

Lol i am always in quarantine!! That comes with this lifestyle.

Oke now serious, you can maintain your muscle and gains, no problem.

Gaining is little hard when you don't have enough weights around you.

Cutting is easy and dont need alot of weight. I am cutting slowly with minimal gear at moment. Just taking my time for once. You can cut with bodyweight exercises...

So I would think about maybe changing your gameplan to what you can do in quarantine.

Personally i can workout but everything can change by the government so when they lock down everything I can still make progress. After cutting i will recomp or just maintain my shape.

Also make sure you have a hot chick during quarantine, because it was a great time to catch up on cardio (sexy time)!! Lol

I’ve got everything and more in my home gym.
Here’s the truth of the matter, intensity dictates your workout, not equipment..

Definitively agree! Im getting used to it to work in my "home" gym.

Training out of our comfort zone is just another step to be better!
