ad
Hey guys, coach let me have a higher carb day so this morning so I decided to make my favorite oatmeal breakfast
I used steel cut oats this time but I usually use quick oats
1 cup dry oats
2-3tbsp Natural Peanut Butter (I use skippy)
Cinnamon
Half Scoop Whey Protein
Walden Farms Pancake Syrup (Calorie Free)
Basically mix that all into bowl after the oats are done. Sprinkle cinnamon on and use syrup to your tasting. This is my favorite breakfast meal and I hope you guy like this.

r4zor_reloadedGood ol Walden Farms Calorie Free Syrup! Sounds like a good recipe. I've only ever used pb in my oats once.. was pretty good.
I usually make my oats like this on a stove top:
-quick/rolled oats
-water
-brown sugar
-a bit of salt for balance (this is a must.. the salt really adds to the overall flavor)
-dash of milk at the end.. (Just how i like it.. it adds more creaminess to the oats. makes it feel more desert like in a sense)
-golden delicious apples chopped up into small pieces
Absolutely delicious.
As far as prepackaged oats though, I've had some maple flavoured oats that were amazing. Forgot what brand though.
When I’m running late for work I put 3 raw eggs two scoops of protien powder 10 ounces of milk one cup of oatmeal and a banana or berries in a blender. That’s 70 grams of protien and a whole lotta good carbs. Drink that down while I’m driving to work and I’m good. Sometimes I drink that while eating peanut butter if I need the extra calories.puts good muscle on. That’s how I like my oatmeal. If I need extra flavor I’ll add flavored oatmeal with the good oats.
How much liquid does that make? Anytime I make a shake in a blender it foams into a 50-60oz drink
It’s about 30 ounces. Just gotta drink it. The peanut butter will help. It taste good it’s fairly easy to drink
30oz is not bad at all I could fit that in one bottle. The one I like to make takes up almost 2 of the 40oz shaker bottles. It’s delicous but not very convienent to carry around. I think I’ll try yours minus the eggs I don’t drink raw eggs but I will down liquid egg whites if I’m in a hurry for protein. They are pasteurized so safe to drink and actually don’t taste bad at all they just have a weird texture.
1 cup whole rolled oats
1.5 scoops chocolate whey
water
throw it in the blender then chug
adding peanut butter and honey sounds yummy.
going to try that tomorrow morning.
I dump half cup of whole rolled oats into any of my protein shakes. If I eat oatmeal, it's usually instant with a little scoop of protein and of coarse some local raw honey. I keep it simple.. I never thought bout putting PB in my oatmeal, sounds good.. lol
I use whole rolled oats. It's much better than the instant stuff, but tastes like cement. I guess if I throw in some stuff it would be palatable.
I have to dr mine up.
1 1/2 cup quick oats
1 scoop chocolate protein
2 scoops carb powder
1 banana
2 tbsp butter
1/4 cup syrup
I make it a little on the runny side so I can just slurp it down.
A little bit of a spin on this: a) use a full scoop of chocolate flavored protein powder. B) add a little (1/4 tsp) of salt to cut the artificially flavored protein sweetness. C) use pumpkin pie spice instead of cinnamon.
My favorite breakfast!
I'm gonna give it a shot in the morning. I have to substitute the Skippy for Jif lol .
Good recipe bro! What is the difference between steel cut and instant? Is the only difference cooking time?
Steel is a tad bit longer but the texture is entirely different....in a good way.
Not too shabby. I do like the idea some had below of adding fruit. A banana goes a long way as does a handful of the antioxidant beast that are blueberries.
Also If I may, dump the Skippy. All natural or not the Skippy brand is highly processed. Side by side pound per pound Skippy next to non-big-box-brand all natural peanut is not even comparable. You would do much better switching brands. For that matter , all natural almond butter is even more of an improvement over peanut based products.
All food for thought
I like to mash a banana in there. It’s good with the peanut butter
I eat a bowl of steel cut oats every morning with my eggs. Sounds delicious.+2
Nice mix, I like it. Do you use water? I have to use milk or I won’t enjoy the texture. I’ll use Fairlife chocolate milk and it will taste like a snack.
I was using the fairlife chocolate with my vanilla ice cream flavored protein powder. It was delicious...
Yeah I use water. I prefer that over milk. Adding all those ingredients makes up for the texture and bland flavor.
Looks nice bro will definitely give it a try big fan of all
Sounds great, have to give that one a shot.
