Carnivore diet
ad
Hello all, I assume a lot of you have probably heard about the newest trend, the carnivore diet. I’ve never been able to eat carbs without blowing up, so I’ve mainly eaten meat and vegetables for quite awhile now. Just looking to see what others think about all of the broo-ha-ha surrounding a meat only diet. There is just soooo much conflicting information floating around right now. Things dealing with red meat and cholesterol, triglycerides, etc. Figured I’d see what others thought about the subject.

basskiller89I'm not a huge fan of that. When I eat too much protein I get issues from the excess nitrogen and ammonia build up. It was a lot different when I was 22. I could easily eat 400 grams of protein a day without any issues. Now I eat less than half that and am a lot larger. Balance is key imo
Our bodies digest bird meat entirely different from red meat. That's why I stick to chicken and Turkey mainly. Red meat is not what our bodies were designed for
Stay away from the latest diet fads. Just eat well balanced meals.
Personally I only eat red meat once a week. A lot of guys eat it all the time with no problem.
A couple times a week does it for me. It’s a money thing for me, beef is a lot more expensive than yard bird! Lol
4 to 8 oz at a time is all our bodies can handle any way.
Once or twice a week.
Look at how we were designed.
Our digestive track.
Compair it to other mammals.
Tiger is like a bus muffler. All meat
Cow is like a bowl of spaghetti . No meat.
Were some were in the middle.
Your probably right. I've found if I eat less beef my hematocrit stays lower. That's the reason I limit it.
