Slowing down my whey isolate

ad

It seems I can only use whey isolate that's super pure.
I wanna utililize this since my food intake is a difficult chore.
Id leave my whey alone post workout. However id like to slow the absorption for other shakes. The issue is, I'm told if I add fat, it will slow it down too much. This will make it harder to get a calorie surplus per day when bulking.

use raw egg whites instead. slow release protein, no digestive issues for most humans.

Honestly some fat will be just fine to add to your shake. If you're worried about slowing down your whole digestion and not being able to get your later meals in try an MCT oil. It'll digest at a good enough rate to where you'll still get your macros for fat but slow down the digestion of your Whey isolate enough. Keep fats out of post workout but use MCT oil in maybe 1-2 of your other shakes, shouldn't hinder you much at all.

Digestive enzymes?

Theonslaught's picture

I.want to slow down the whey not make it go faster

Becausesquat's picture

Digestive enzymes (added by quality makers of whey protein drinks) can increase the absorption rate by up to 125%

Maybe I have the context confused.
I'm trying to slow down the absorption to mimic a meal. Whey is in and out pretty quickly.

What you're saying is to make sure the whey isnt wasted and that all is digested?

Oh I love insulin. Taking Lantus at moment

Get some casien or get some time released blended protein that has a mix of different proteins.

I can't use it. Causes issues in my belly.

Think he wants isolate because it’s meant to be better quality because it’s more pure

Hello Sir,

Think this is a bit overcomplicating the things, real food will always be a better choice, stick to that and you can't go wrong.

Regards

We aren't talking about food. We are talking about whey. But thank you.

Fat can slow absorption and so can soluble fiber. With whey shakes though, I'm not sure that fat would benefit you as much as fiber. Soluble Fiber will slow down the rate in which it moves through your digestive tract.

X2
That along with simply drinking it slower. Have 1/4 of your shake at the top of the hour. Another 1/4 30 min later, another 1/4 30 mins after that...
I think this is important to do if you’re going to rely more on shakes, just to get the most digestion and absorption possible.

The problem is...lol.
I'm doing an experiment of 10-servings a day.
A food replace (protein)

Bearded_muscle's picture

Gotcha, just spread it out as much as you can.

I did an experiment in college where I drank 100 egg whites everyday as my protein source... I made it about 5 days before my digestive tract just started putting out brown water and had to stop lol.

LMFAO that image is now in my head.

Yeah even cooked egg whites have me same issue after some time.

Thank you.
Can you go further into that benefit as much with fiber. Would you think a supplemental fiber?
