I may copy this, although I've been trying to model the old school diets more, lowish carbs high protein. Been following what's preached today for years, huge amounts of carbs. Pretty sure i add more bf this way. Guys back in the day stayed in great condition year round. Trying to find the right balance. Maybe lll lower the carbs and increases the protein sizes.

If I am not doing any type of cyclic bulking diet I like to keep my protein/carb macros pretty close to one another like a 40/40/20 split. I may be eating 400g protein and about the same for carbs but I tend to gain more fat if I bump carbs up to high to meet my calorie demands. I keep a good chunk of cals from protein and I don't get as fat when i bulk.

I have the same problem, I’m going to increase my protein intake and lower my carbs a little bit. Protein also has a thermogenic effect in the body.

Sounds like maybe carb cycling would be the way to go... I believe Mak has a ton of experience with this, but I've been researching it and different variations of it. Basically allows you to beef up with a little added BF, then carb cycle down to trim the fat, then back up and so on an so forth.

Edit: I've also been following that Berberin thread... It would be interesting to combine the two methods.
