TxBigBoyHow many times do you eat a day? If you split up you food intake into 6-7 meals a day spaced every 3 hours then you should be able to hit a high your caloric intake pretty easy. Also remember that your body can only use so much food at one time so if your shoveling in high calorie/protien foods all in one setting, it's likely your body isnt gonna use 20-30% of it and just shit it out. And if your ON, like Nate said wake up and have some food. Shit when I'm hitting it really hard I'll set an alarm for 3am and get up and eat a bowl of oatmeal and drink a shake, plus I keep muscle milk bars on my bed stand if I'm to tired. I fell asleep back asleep with one in my mouth a few weeks ago and ended up with chocolate on my pillow.
NastyNateU sure that was chocolate on your pillow?????....lol....no homo!!!!
TxBigBoyHmm There was a bottle of lube next to bed as well...no homo
nates got it and you can also snack on nuts in between meals
NastyNateSteak, chicken, fish, sweet potatoes, broccoli, oatmeal and eggs are what I consume for the most part on a regular basis...protein shakes with every meal, before and after workouts, and casein before bed. Also if I wake up in the middle of the night, I might down one real quick... That's when I'm ON, when I'm not ON, I eat the same but drink a lot less shakes. I utilize quality food for protein and carb intake, and use shakes to up calorie intake when needed. The majority of my nutrition comes from real food, not shakes. Shakes are just an accessory of a diet, and shouldn't be relied upon heavily as a necessity
What product do you use for your shakes nate?
NastyNateMuscle tech whey ($33 for 5lbs at Sam's), and Opitinum Nutrition casein. I also add in scoop of Musclemilk when I want to up carbs and improve flavor of my shakes.
TxBigBoyThat muscle milk banana is the shit! How many servings are in that 5lb tech? That's a damn good price
NastyNate1 scoop= 120 calories, 1g fat, 9g carbs, and 20g protein. 70 scoops in a bag.
And Muscle Milk Chocolate Milk is my favorite
TxBigBoyMan that's awesome I'll have to check it out next time im there. I've been getting the optimum nutrition 5lb for like 45 I think. If you like ON products you should check out the oats and whey, it's pretty good I use it for my morning shake
NastyNateI've heard good stuff bout the oats and whey from several other people, I'll definitely check it out
