Organ protection supplement question.

ad

I did a search and I see all the organ protection threads are old. Any new info on this? Looking for the best all-around protectant. Tnx

I take TUDCA when on cycle, milk thistle, B-12, Saw Palmetto all year round!

Which organ(s)?
If you’re referring to liver (which is probably most relevant for AAS) then not much has changed...everyone has preferences: Liv52, milk thistle, TUDCA...
If you’re referring to other organs (e.g. heart & prostate typically are the next most relevant)... heart is challenging - many factors. For prostate, saw palmetto works for most...there are additional supps, you gotta dig deeper.

Great questions to help pinpoint what they are looking for. With heart health in mind, low sodium intake along with avoiding saturated and trans fats (solid fats that tend to cause atherosclerosis) is key with intake of monosaturated and polyunsaturated fats in their place. CLA is a novel lipid that can have desirable effects and goes to show that not all fat is "bad".

Right on bro!
Lipid profile gets wacky and can be tricky to keep under control...
Aerobic training is a great tool, but if you’re bodybuilding one avoids this because it can be counterintuitive for muscle growth...not to mention if you are BIG you’ll have additional strain on heart to feed all of your muscles.
This is where blood work assists greatly in dialing in diet... its also helpful to monitor your BP & HR.

If you are runnung orals, I would suggest something for your liver. It won't perform miracles but it isn't snake oil either. Tudca, NAC, and milk thistle are my go to's. If you are looking to support overall health, fish oil once daily and a multivitamin may be tracking in the right direction as well.

Now none of this will replace a strong diet based on the fundamentals - variety, adequacy, nutrient dense, balanced, and moderation. Take these into account while eating big and working and it will all come together. Water can't be stressed enough either. It will help remove the toxins you are worried about.

Have used a protect cycle supplement , I guess im not allowed to say which, well from the guy that passed away 2 years ago . It has become an essential supplement for me , especially with that high dose of saw palmetto(would be very expensive for me at that dose) and cordyseps for the kidneys . I dont understand the hate on these products they work wonderful if you dont have medical conditions, we take this to avoid that , this crap to avoid that crap, after we take so many shit to go off cycle , but the bad thing to do is buy a supplement . Lol chill

PS : The other best protectant for me was When I quitted smoking 2 years ago . Never had a single bp spike since then , even when angry. Wished I didnt smoke at all in my life

Best organ protection you can buy is called a balanced diet loaded with nutrients, regular resistance training and aerobic exercise, abstinence from tobacco and narcotics, and moderation or better yet teetotaling with alcohol. No need to waste money on supplements that make promises they can’t keep based on flimsy or inconclusive research. Just my opinion

Anybody who drinks alcohol whilst on cycle shouldn't be running gear in the first place, let alone how irresponsible it is for many reasons not just their own health.

So they're all bunk? That sucks. Ok thanks and now I see why the threads on this are so old.

They MIGHT do something. That’s generally what research leads to. This MIGHT do this. This MAY promote that. If something were that effective that it had certain efficacy the FDA and big pharma would be all over it. They love putting their hands in the supp industry’s cookie jar on the rare occurrence they make something that actually works lol

I quit smoking 2 years ago but I'm still stuck on the chew

IrishMack's picture

I just kicked the chew habit 5 months ago. it was harder then quitting smoking. I vaped for 3 months then dropped everything. its harder to quit chew because a cig gives you nicotine for a few minutes, chew you keep in your mouth for a long time so you have a shit ton of nicotine flowing for anywhere from 20-45 minutes. Good luck on quitting im rooting for you. I felt like I was detoxing from fucking heroin lol.

Shit I chew for hours then throw it out for 20 to 45 then back in another one goes I've been a smoker since 15 and chew since 17 ciggs were easy I tried to quit chew for 3 days it didn't work lol
