Pre Cycle Supplements and On Cycle Support.
ad
I've only run 5 cycles in my life, but I like run supplements prior to my cycle to "clean up the field" pre game. Does anyone else do this, if not, why? Currently taking Arjuna for heart health, resveratrol for cholesterol and bp, and liv.52 DS for liver health. I will continue through the cycle, and I will try to get my hands on a prescription cholesterol moderator just in case. What do you guys use for on cycle support, does everyone just go with N2Guard?

basskiller89Creatine is a huge beneficial supplement, I believe monohydrate has the fastest absorption time to my currently beliefs. Another supplement you could look into is a multi vitamin, howmever creatine blew me up, fast bro
PcushionThere are hundreds of natural supplements that can help the body in many ways. Everyone has their own opinions on what works. That said find what you feel works for you. Your statement about trying to acquire prescription cholesterol medication does put up a red flag though. Statin drugs medications are proven to be a little hard on the liver for some people and should be used under a doctors supervision. Acquiring those should be as easy as a doctors visit. Last thing all of these natural supplements work some prob more than others, but don’t mistake this for a security blanket. Steroids are extremely powerful hormones amd should be treated like so. You can’t put a bandaid on a bulletin wound.
awal65255As most steroids have a negative effect on the lipid profile, I was trying to find a way to counteract just in case. I look at it just like buying extra ais pre cycle to be on the safe side, but your statement is accurate, I was looking for a security blanket which just doesn't exist. I haven't experienced any negative issues, but I do try to think of everything.
Alphamale500There are certainly so many supps/vitamins out there that claim to do practically everything. It's practically impossible to try every single one and give them the time so you can see which ones you feel work for you.
That's why it's very important to do the proper research and learn which ones have proven backed scientific research when available, and then you can see which work best for you. That's why I wanted to list some of the more reputable and science backed supps/vitamins, and not just the ones that I thought worked best.
But whether it's just a placebo effect or they truly work for me, either way I feel so much better when taking them and my health/bloodwork/tests are always great! I started taking different viamins/supps when I was just 12 or 13yrs old. And I've put my body through a whole lot in my past, and I still have the best health I can possibly have. Also, I haven't even had a simple cold or the flu in twenty years now! I really attribute most of that to the various supps/vitamins that I've been taking.
PcushionYou are absolutely correct. His statement about acquiring cholesterol medication just didn’t sit well with me. I just wanted to remind him that all the supplements in the world are not a replacement for supervision in any fashion. You always post good experience and solid advice I wasn’t going against the advice you gave at all. Really liked your comment about tren e on another thread. The guy who recommended it seems like the kind of guy who would claim snorting meth is better than smoking it lol.
Alphamale500Thank you, its all good bro! Yeah certain supplements really should only be taken under a doctor's supervision like you said. Many people, even myself at times, don't really see supplements as medications and they really should be treated the same. Especially some of the more side effect prone supplements. And yeah, that guy who was recommending the tren e was definitely lacking some basic knowledge. Lol! Thanks bro.
Alphamale500There's a very good heart health supplement called Pure Heart which contains Grape Seed Extract, Policosanol, and trans-Resveratrol. For heart and cardiovascular health, I also take CoQ10, Fish oil/Omega-3 fatty acid, Garlic extract, baby aspirin, plant sterols and Pumpkin seed oil. And roughly 40g of added soluble fiber per day.
For anti DHT/prostate health;
(Saw Palmetto extract, Pygeum extract, pumpkin seed oil, Lycopene), and chelated zinc.
Liver Health;
Milk thistle extract(80% silymarin content), NAC, Phosphatidylcholine, alpha Lipoic acid
Kidney function;
Cranberry concentrate
For overall health;
Multivitamin and mineral, high potency B complex, chelated Magnesium, K-2, broad spectrum probiotic(2 billion cfu), D-3, Biotin, DIM Complex. I also take a small dose of bioperine(black pepper extract) with certain supps/vitamins/foods to increase absorbtion rate. And of course I also drink plenty of water, do plenty of daily cardio, train, and eat very healthy foods.
Certainly does cost me a decent amount for supps and vitamins but I think they're definitely worth it from my perfect bloodwork/overall health, and how I feel.
awal65255Sounds like solid advice, thank you.
Alphamale500No problem bro. I'm not saying you should use all of them, but I just wanted to list the most reputable and effective supps that work very well for me. You'll have to find out how well they work for you.
The supps/vitamins I listed are generally considered safe, but there are some that can be dangerous and should be used with care. Actually, before taking any of them you should consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
This is a pretty comprehensive grocery list! I like it.
Alphamale500Thks man. They really work good for me.
Ill vouch for liv 52 if its legit and not the counterfeit stuff.
I use the normal dose as double strength upsets my gut.
Always good to pre load things like that so its fully in swing working ready to take some hits.
I reccommend high strength milk thistle with the liv 52, milk thistle imo should be year round supp with your multi vitamin.
Think anti oxidants bro.
And its not always pills/ supps.
Getem in ya diet.
Thats what were doing that does the damage oxidative stress.
Look for powerful anti oxidants and not just for liver, oxidative stress effects everything including our dna.
My staples in this regard- daily.
Multi vitamin
Extra vit c
Extra vit e
Liv 52
Milk thistle
Super green shake- fresh from green veg and fruit.
-tudca- if high or long orals.
That along with healthy diet/ life style and lots of water and milk aswell as sunshine is all you pretty much need.
Enough Water is more important than all.
Cycle/ drug ancillaries and pct are another story.

Your cycle. So answers do get you the best help
awal65255Thanks, didn't know how to do that
I take supplements year round. When on cycle I add TUDCA, Liv-52, and Saw Palmetto.
AnonCanberry juice works lovely
Alphamale500Yeah, I take a cranberry supplement made from cranberry concentrate. Each 2 softgels are equal to over 8 grams of fresh cranberries. Also in this supplement are a lil bit of vitamin C and E. I take 2 softgels three times daily. Do you drink straight up cranberry juice?
I usually sticking to my clean diet before cycle, no alcohol for me, then checking my bloods to make sure I’m good to go. Once I’m on, I will add any form of silymarin, TUDCA and this normally helps me to keep readings in reference range. Sometimes add Vitavim D at quite a high dose.
Alphamale500Just curious what your daily dose of vitamin D is? I take 8,000 iu daily, year round.
I did about 6-7 to be honest
Alphamale500That's a good dose. You only take it once in a while though? I've been taking 8,000 iu ed, and in my bloodwork I just got back, my total vitamin D, 25-OH level was 56ng/ml. And the range was (30-100 ng/ml). So, I could probably bump it up to 10,000 or 12,000 iu and be well within range. I have to check out what the benefits of a high-normal vitamin D level really are. I wonder if there are any significant benefits?
I'm pretty sure I remember some kind of connection between vitamin D and testosterone production, but I gotta check it out to be sure.
Think the problem here is how much your body really can absorb. We normally take more Vit D in the winter as there’s less sun however I read the research that says body does not absorb much of it throughout this period. Apparently Vit D gets absorbed much better when you’re in the sun and taking it in a high quantities in the winter is waste of time and money although logically you would think it’s other way around
awal65255Vitamin D sounds like a good idea, I didn't even think of that. I picked up a supplement containing milk thistle so I should be covered on the silymarin and I still have a bunch of Taurine from experimenting with Tbol I think Tudca is related.
Curcumin, B complex, Q10, Vitamin C, E and K and Liv 52 or milk thistle
Alphamale500B complex is an awesome vitamin with many benefits, especially for us guys that use gear. I take all of the others also too, except for Liv 52 and Curcumin. I take milk thistle, NAC and others for my liver and the Curcumin seems to cause me some stomach or gastro problems. Which sucks because I know how good Curcumin can be for your body.
Have you ever heard of Theracurmin? It's really supposed to be the most bioavailable form of Curcumin that's made. It's 27 times more bioavailable than any other form of Curcumin! You should check it out.
awal65255I seem to respond especially well to B12, but that is the only B vitamin I specifically look for. I usually just get my Bs through food and Animal Pack and Stak.
Alphamale500You should consider taking a high potency time released B complex pill. There are other B vitamins besides B12 that can be very beneficial for guys that use gear. Such as;
B3(Niacin) is awesome for lowering cholesterol and triglyceride levels, and especially good for increasing your HDL levels at an average rate of 30%. By using a time released version, you can avoid the possible side effects of skin flushing and body itching!
B6(pyridoxine hydrochloride) is good at inhibiting prolactin release and lowering prolactin levels overall.
So yeah, vitamin B complex tablets are very beneficial for anyone, especially us guys who use gear! It has many other awesome benefits as well.
