Muscle cramps while on cycle
From time to time when on a good blast I sometimes notice muscle cramps. Now these most often happen not when im training but during day to day stuff. Example, If i reach across the table to grab something from my kids my bicep or brachialis will cramp up. Or if I raise my arms too fast over my head my lats will cramp..
This usually happens on trenbolone mostly and I also noticed it the one time I experimented with clenbuterol
( never again). But sometimes just on testosterone and dbol or something simple after a hard session especially arms or chest if i even flex that muscle for a second it will lock up and stay that way for 10 to 45 seconds and it can be very painful! I know intense training depletes electrolytes in muscle and as far as I know electrolytes, especially sodium and potassium have a big role in contractions of muscle tissue.
Aside from taking potassiums pills or whatnot Is there anyother remedys you guys know of? One time i used some magnesium powder drink mix called magna calm or something with the word calm in it and it seemed to help a little. Im thinkin those cramps are a sign that that muscle isnt recoverd yet espacially lacking electrolytes thanks guys and keep pushing on and making self improvment. At the end of the day thats all that matters. Have you improved?

This happens occasionally to me. Usually when I had a super good pump going. Researched a similar issue. Tried adding some salts (Na+ K+) to my intra as well as added taurine. I also increased my water intake a bit and added foods with higher potassium (K). Most cramping disappeared.
With that being said, I think cramping is still a fairly common and not abnormal phenomenon. You hit the muscles hard, exhaust them, and then begin the healing process.
I would try increasing water intake, throwing in some taurine, and throwing in some salts (electrolytes) into my intra to keep muscles replenished with constant source of electrolytes.
DivineHtaurine my brother boom!
For cramp I used taurine.
basskiller89Sodium and potassium imbalance
RustyhookerIm wondering if the op is gonna return and report whether or not all this awesome info worked????
I started eating more potatoes and bananas and also added in a magnesium supplement. But also have lowered some of the compounds i have been using and seems to have helped alot. My diet has been pretty much consistant for the past few yrs now, my conclusion is that certsin compounds affect me this way and while certain foods and supps can help, its just a side effects that I have to deal with when using those compunds. Thanks for all the great info guys! This is how we learn, bouncing ideas and experiences off each other.. much appreciated to all!
RustyhookerGood to hear!
im currently on both clen and tren as im closing in to a show, and heres what i do to keep me from cramping bro
Magnesium 600mgs per day
Zinc 50mg per day
B complex Vit
Taurine 2mg per day
6-7ltrs of clear water per day
additional 2 ltrs per day with BCAAs that also contain electrolytes.
loads of sodium throughout the day
PcushionDa da dats some high quality H2O needed (water boy voice)
I guess you probably need magnesium, and sunshine with massage and it will be ok .
Potassium, water and stretch
Alphamale500Your cramps could certainly be due to dehydration and loss of electrolytes. And remember, just because you're not on the floor dying from thirst, you can still be suffering from various degrees of dehydration. Make sure you're drinking enough water each day (at least 1 gallon besides the water you drink with meals or shakes).
If you drink ordinary tap water, then you should be getting these necessary minerals. But if you prefer drinking just bottled water, dry drinking spring water with added minerals. Not those flavored waters with sugar substitutes, but regular spring water with only added minerals like magnesium sulfate, calcium chloride, and sodium bicarbonate.
Your muscle cramps could also possibly be due to vitamin deficiencies of particularly B1, B5, and B6. You can try a Vitamin B complex tablet which also has other helpful benefits to it. Besides a high potency B complex tablet, I also take Chelated Magnesium, which is a highly absorbable form of magnesium.
Zma at night before bed. Do not take it with milk as the calcium reduces absorbtion.
Stay hydrated.
Check your potassium values though and drink enough!
Taurine and potassium usually help me..cramping is usually a sign of electolite imbalance
Magnesium
Since magnesium plays a role in neuromuscular transmission and muscle contraction, it has been hypothesised that magnesium deficiency may predispose to muscle cramps. Thus, magnesium supplements are often recommended to prevent cramps.
Mr Polumbo was saying tonic water from grocery shop helps to prevent cramping when taking clenbuterol. Wondering if that could help in your case too unless the issue is water and salt imbalance that is a common problem for cramping too
cramping has been a major issue for me my entire life... before aas I used potassium and magnesium supplement, once on I started daily cialis and just added banana to daily routine, and finally they have calmed down for first time in adult life
Alphamale500Magnesuim supplements can be helpful and bananas could help you get your potassium. But imo, potassium supplements contain such small amounts of potassium that they're just not even worth taking. You're much better off eating bananas, oranges, spinach, potatoes etc to get your potassium.
Most of the guys mentioned food or herbal remedies. You can experiment with them and se what works for you. But I'm a BIG fan of STRETCHING and more stretching; especially after workout to reduce lactic acid buildup in the muscles.
Pickle pre workout helps me.. no carb
RustyhookerMulti vit/mineral added into daily intake
Alphamale500Good tip!
I will wager you that it is actually caused by too much potassium, not too little.
Next time it happens, get bloods and measure as many electrolytes as possible.
I would almost guarantee you that you are retaining potassium. You should check magnesium too.
Magnesium, also a mineral electrolyte, is also a muscle relaxant which can help as you say, but with these problems it is a input versus output thing, from the cells.
In a natural athlete, there is no water retention (which puts elecs out of balance), but water depletion and elec depletion from exercise and sweating etc. They need to supplement.
With an AAS user, we retain the fkn shit out of potassium, nitrogen, glycogen, water etc. Sort of the opposite, but with the same results. Too much water = elecs become ineffective and we cramp, too much potassium, same. We need to bleed out the excess. Non-potassium-sparing water pills can help. Muscle relaxants can help, but you need to know if you already have too much magnesium via bloods.
Stretching
Water
Sodium
Bananas
lots and lots of all of that, particularly the stretching and water and sodium .
