proviron

ad

Hey everyone!

Recently I found this articles in PubMed and I was hoping someone could help me understand.
Basically they state you could take Mesterolone (proviron) daily without affecting FSH, LH or Testosterone levels...

Any thoughts on the matter?

Explain the cycle pls

Lots of people here have done bloodwork on provi and many have shown that it shut them down.

I'm not sure about being shut done but I know it was made for depression and anxiety and worked for that reason

giardap's picture

1 chap developed psychosis and committed suicide (or tried iirc) in the original trials re: depression.

I use it as part of (some of my best) PCTs sometimes if my dht is very low or if my shbg was very high on cycle

I don't see the benefits of taking Proviron daily. What are you trying to accomplish; increased sex drive?

ashop's picture

You get a distinct hardness to the physique, free's up bound testosterone and acts as a mild anti E. The increased sex drive is significant positive also.

I'd only use PROVIRON on a complete cycle or with low dose TRT.

Years ago a buddy and I took pharmacy grade alone for 8 weeks because most studies state it doesn’t shut you down...
Oh it shut me down. I didn’t know what was wrong with me for a few weeks after stopping haha well it was cause my hormones were out of wack! My buddy got it worse. He developed a bit of gyno on one side also.
Don’t believe the BS study’s, it can happen.

Why would you take proviron on it’s own, don’t think you’ll get much out of it even if it doesn’t shut your pituitary gland.

giardap's picture

Ive read huge amounts of studies on this, and primarily as it relates to shutdown

Some studies show shutdown and others show no shutdown.

What is the context behind the question?

MiguelMM's picture

Uni work, I was thinking of doing it in something "not as usual" as common meds

something like: lifelong treatment with mesterolone for HIV sarcopenia, the effects on FSH, LH and Testosterone

What would be the proposed outcome of said study?

Proviron has a long history of medical documentation as does HIV. I’m thinking Proviron alone would never get approval for a traditional HIV study that tend to target slowing/prevention of muscle wasting, increased longevity and wellness of life.

MiguelMM's picture

well, to see if it sows down muscle wasting without affecting hormones versus placebo group... but I also have some other ideas with other stuff

giardap's picture

If it were me, I think I would look to igf
it co-activates the andro receptors and shouldnt effect lh fsh

Have you read anything about the synergic effect of Vit. D and Leu aminoacid to help with insuline insensibilization and as anabolic compounds?

Im also thinking of writting something about that

giardap's picture

vid yes but i think in combo with several other factors?
Leucine, I have only read on its muscle protein synthesis and there are poi ts where it can positively and negatively affect insulin sensitivity. I didnt spend much time on it though

What research questions have you come up with?
It has to start with the question rather than the outcome

have you looked at the "more research is needed" sections of discussions/conclusions of papers/subjects you like?

MiguelMM's picture

I have several months before I actually need to start writting the paper so Im still looking into different topics, Im jut brainstorming a little bit before I make up my mind
