New ampule useage

Hi all, i have used many times but not test ampules because of not knowing what to do with the rest. For example i am cruising at 250 split at the moment. But i have FREE ampules coming that are 250 ml /ampule. So each injection is 125 x2 . So what do you do with the rest of the ampule?

Get a sterile empty vial and inject the rest into that.
Store upright in the syringe with an air gap between the plunger and the oil.
If you dont mind me asking. Why air gap toward plunger side?
Solvents in the solution will break down the rubber
Of you look online empty sterile vials are cheap.
