+ 3 Emptying Sachets for Dummys - A How To

ad

Okay, currently a big name source is running a promo on sachets. I know they are not commonly found or used, and for good reason. They are a pain. While they are very discrete, they are difficult to get product out of, and are without a doubt the least convenient method. With that being said here is a how to of a few different methods of how to extract from a sachet.

Good - The easiest way

As always, sterilize your environment. Wipe everything down. Get it clean. Wash your hands.

Sterilize the outside of the sachet - just as you would the top of a vial.

Insert a single large gauge needle (with syringe) into the corner sachet - I prefer 18ga - be cautious not to pierce the other side or squeeze any oil out.

You now have a choice of filling the syringe with all of the oil and backfilling smaller syringes - OR filling one syringe at a time with your desired quantity, leaving the needle, and swapping out syringes themselves.

Squeeze / lightly push any oil down into the bottom of the sachet where the tip of your needle lies to ensure you get it all.

BEST - The preferred method, much more labor intensive

Once again, sterilize everything. Well. Get it clean. Clean your hands. Do it.

Sterilize your sachet, prepare your empty vial, sterilize the top of it.

Insert a needle into the top of the vial to allow it to vent.

Insert a syringe and needle into the sachet and fill your syringe just as you did in the previous step.

Once you have obtained all the oil from the sachet, change needles to one with a filter. I like a .22 micron filter.

Fill the vial with your oil from the syringe. Once this is done, you have the option to pass a 2-3ml of oil through the filter in order to purge it of what you were filtering.

At this point, I would suggest baking the oil in the vial at approx 200-250*F for 15 minutes with the vent needle still in it. The vial will be hot after baking it. Don't be a dumbass. This will sterilize the oil very well between the filter and heating it. You now have successfully prepared oil that was in a sachet to be ready for use.

It’s an extra precaution and not necessary.

You forgot to add that you should use 10ml barrel just pull each sachet into one of them break out a filter and start loading sweet sterile oil into a sweet sterile 100ml vial.

50 or100ml jugs are great for sachet and 10ml barrel and .22 micron filters are a must in the progress.

If a person is going to fill a vial, then absolutely a 5 or 10ml barrel is the way to go, so that an individual can pull all of the oil in one go.

You would be surprised how many probably start to pull them realize they need to get another barrel lol

Good info. I always wear a mask and swap gloves frequently.

Never used these or amps,
But I do have a shit load of amps now from a promo,
Just wondering if you need a filtered needle when drawing out of an amp?

ShamMasterFlex's picture

Hold the top part of the amp inside of an unopened alcohol swab as well. It protects your fingers in case the top part shatters for whatever reason.

No. Just make sure the glass is clean and when you break it no glass gets inside.

Thank you. Sachets are off the beaten path (and for good reason). However this also means there isn't a lot of support for them. They are have their perks and strong points - they are stealthy, you don't need to worry about glass breaking like vials or amps making them good for travel, they also store well, seeing as they are thin and flexible. They do have pitfalls, but with the proper steps these can be mitigated and overcame. I just wanted to share some knowledge I have on a subject that isn't often touched upon.
