Lived and breathed that in the 90's. Was one of the top intermediates west coast. My boy who I traveled with broke his back during practice becoming quadriplegic and that ended it all. Parents flattened our practice track and immediately sold off our bikes. It was obviously devastating for him, me as well. My all time favorite will always be Mc Grath. I emulated his style to a tee. The most incredible rider ever in my eyes is Stewart! If he didn't always get hit with bad luck/injuries standing records would be shattered. The things I've seen him do all the way from when we raced the las Vegas mini nationals and he was on a 60 practicing with us...125 intermediates...was mind blowing. Fast forward to the 2000's and more. The speed he is able to carry at times is inhuman. He has done things on a bike that I believe wont ever be done by another and just can't be done. Blitzin whoops in fast forward only to pass a guy over the triple while he turns a roller after the triple into a quad meanwhile staying lower than the other by 5 feet. He revolutionized racing with the scrub. There were variations of staying low, getting whipped and what not but turning down the bike flying up the face of a jump sideways took it to a whole other level. Now it is a staple in racing. There are guys that can scrub the shit out of a jump, Barcia, Tomac, Bagget, Roczen but not with the sheer aggression and overbearing power bubba can. Shit man Ill stop here I guess I could talk forever about motocross, favorite sport, still in my blood, mentally can still feel the movements of racing and see it but way too gone now physically.
