+ 6 Push/pull...what a rush!

ad

I did my 1st local push/pull for charity today. I thought it was going to be low key but it fucking rocked! Thanks to everyone who gave me advice along the way it was all very helpful. A big thanks to Irishmack. The one thing I regret is doubting myself. I set my opening lifts very low and even tho I made them I was nervous about failing so I didnt go any where near what I could get. Shit, the 1st bench attempt I did I was shaking. I dont know if it was the adrenaline from the crowd or what but I could have done so much more. That said it was a hell of a good time and as long as the body will hold up I'll do it again. But not for awhile. Its time to cut the fat off. Need to be ready to hit the beach in July. I would advise anyone who has a chance to do one of these to do it. Who gives a shit if you win, do it for the experience. That was my plan and I loved every minute of it.

Thanks brother I appreciate it. Definitely something I would like to do again. Maybe once a year as long as I can. My only regret was not going heavier when I knew I had it in me. 1st time jitters maybe, or just didnt want to fail a lift my 1st time out. Either way it was fun.

It was for sure! I really was shaking my 1st attempt at the bench. After that it was better but waiting in the hole for my name to be called was intense.
Thanks!

For sure I could have added maybe another 15 20lb on bench. Pause reps are tough. And as easy as my last pull went up. I could have gone up another 30 maybe more.

These numbers are good for me, but there were some monsters present that were doubling these. You guys that train for this all yr long my hats are off to you.

Pausing on the bench has humbled many a bro. Very respectable ++

I appreciate that. I would imagine it shows a lot of people how strong they really are or aren't

Thanks! It was definitely not what I expected . After I got over the initial jitters and my adrenaline was pumping. Making the walk up to the bar and getting set was awesome, to be aware of the crowd and listening to announcer but as soon as I grabbed the bar the only thing I was thinking about was keeping my glutes tight. Finish the rep, clap my hand, walk off and fist bump my training partner.
Fucking awesome!
