+ 1 Best way to remove body hair

ad

Alright fellas (ladies we could really use your help here) let's hear it. I've shaved a couple times but between that and all the androgens, I'm getting pretty damn hairy. I'd prefer to not shave (plus my girl hates the stubble) so I figured I'd reach out to you guys for help. Let me know if you shave, wax or use a cosmetic product for hair removal. I am interested in new and improved options.

Epilator & waxing...
Epilation can be painful first dozen times or so, but like anything your body adapts and gets used to it.
Hair gets thinner, and easier to remove everytime...and stays away longer.
Epilator you can do pretty mich on your own...waxing you need someone to assist...
I epilate everywhere...only spot I wax is back; just cause I can’t reach it myself.

nair works well

Thanks again guys! I figured there would be a vast array of methods. Turned out to be an interesting thread. Not something I've seen discussed much.

I got too close to the campfire once and got rid of the hair on my legs but usually I use Veet hair remover. Shave with electric clipper first if it is real thick and then finish off with the Veet. Smooth as a baby's butt after that.

And something I can do at work when I'm bored lmao!

Just use a good close shave trimmer.

I have done this but feel it grows back denser. Can't imagine what it would be like after years of shaving if I let it go unchecked.

Sugaring is the best way to remove excess body hair and it’s completely natural. Only sugar, water and lemon juice.
Results are exactly the same as waxing and there’s ZERO pain.

Nice never heard of it how do you do that ??

Old thread but info doesn't get old. Gonna give it a try, I dont have wax strips and it says cut up a old shirt. Have you tried that?

The leftover wax could be used as a topping on a muffin, i like cakes with a lemon sugar coating Smile

By the way, +1. Never heard about it.

Very old technique and rarely used nowadays.
Quite difficult to find a beauty therapist who offers sugaring.

Amazon has a laser hair removal for $400. It's a pain in the ass bc it takes a time between each pulse but it works.

+1 I have only problem with shaving my balls i tried it once and it was sunday bloody sunday Biggrin

Yeah that area tends to bleed a lot if you cut yourself lol

Just use a #1 guard on a set of Wahls. Takes it low enough. No homo..

I tried it once with no guard, it was bad, lots of blood - No guard does not work on loose skin. No homo.

It depends on the area where you need to remove hair. I use Nair for my legs and arms, but use a razor on my armpits. If you use Nair on your chest, as Bill G has already stated, avoid getting it on your nipples. If you can manage the pain, waxing is another viable option for most areas of the body.

Ive used nair for the upper because im hairy like an orangutan. All im gonna say is KEEP THAT SHIT OFF YOUR NIPPLES! Apperently they are made out of the same stuff hair is. Had to wear bandaids under my shirt for a week.

Lol good to know

I hate to say but I waxed once, would never do that again. First of all the pain you have to go through, that’s tough.
After that you get this shitty feeling when clothes are touching your skin with no hair, feels weird as fu*k.
Just sharing my experience

bundlz's picture

Yeah thats weird and when it comes winter am frozen AF but i gotta be the bear with no hair

I waxed a couple of times chest shoulders back belly 1 st time it hurts dont let it grow to much for the second time ... the more you wax reduces the growth of the hair, of course it always grows back but less 1 time I did my legs and calves it has stayed at this 1 time the calves are painful and the crease between the calf and the hamstrings is suffering hahha

  1. Laser hair removal
  2. Waxing
  3. Electrolysis
  4. Back shaver
  5. Hair cream removers
BootyGear's picture

Chemical hair removers are the worst for me. I regret ever using it on my upper back, got mad ingrown hairs after the fact and left with some acne scars.

Laser and electro are super expensive....maybe in the future one body part at a time lol....any recommendations on brands? Are there waxing options that can be done from home or is that something you would get done at a salon that specializes in it? Thanks in advance.

bundlz's picture

You can wax @ home just look how the hairs grow grease it with wax press the paper and pull the same direction as the hair grows my wife does it to me and she likes to see me suffer hahah oh yeah and search for the pink one wax (nohomo) just less painfull then the yellow

Oh god man been there done that, no more home waxing kits in my house brother. I’ll pay the extra money to save some time, pain and having to be in the shower for 45 mins trying to scrub off that excess wax.
