+ 1 New to TRT

ad

Hi guys.

I live in New Zealand and I have just been prescribed TRT and have been given a few options to choose from.

  1. Test C
  2. Sustanon

There are other options but those are the 2 I will choose from. The issue I have is that the test C is given @ 200mg fortnightly and the Sustanon @ 250mg every 3 weeks.

Won't this make my levels unstable? And has anyone been able to convince their doctor to allow them to self administer? Also, can anyone share their experience on such a low dose?

Thanks

Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience guys. Yes I will discuss with my doctor. The endocrinologist suggested in his advice to my GP that I am my bloods are taken in 6 months. I feel like NZ is very far behind US in this and many other medical fields.

I agree with Greg, I've only used cypionate and administer myself(US though). But talk to your doctor about self administration, one pin every 14 days on cypionate isn't going to cut it for most( way too many peaks and valleys). To me this sounds a bit old school protocol, but I'm not from NZ.

The dose is pretty standard, 100 to 125 is pretty typical. Like Greg said below, your dr. should retest in a few weeks and adjust accordingly.

Go with the C and talk to your doc, there's no reason not to let you self administer.

Dosage wise, this is just the start, he'll recheck your bloods after a few weeks, ask you how you're doing and adjust your dosage accordingly.

I'd also push to do at least weekly 1/2 mil injections. You and he need to build a partner relationship, not a parent child relationship.
