Low dose deca for pain management

ad

Hello. I was wondering if any here use low dose deca (100 to 50mg) for pain management all yr long. Is it safe to use all yr long, do you need to run cyp with it and how has it helped your pain, joints etc? I would think this would be much healthier than any opiates Drs have been subscribing us. Tnx

Low dose Decca is ok, but I wold explore natural remedies first. Someone below tried TB 500 with good results...it didn't do a lot for me. You should take lots of Vitamin C, drink lots of water, take glucosamine and chondroiton.

ALLJAKTUP, one avenue to possibly pursue is going with a low carb diet to lower inflammation. The less water (aka-bloat, swelling, inflamed tissue, etc) that you carry, the less it pushes on nerve endings.

Carbo-hydrates make you hold onto water WAY more than salt does. There's a reason why the word "hydrate" is in the molecule name.

When on a low carb diet (aka-keto diet, short for ketosis diet) or any diet, read up on it. Keto has its own strengths and weaknesses, depending on lifestyle goals, etc. If that diet can help your dad, it's certainly better than using pharmaceuticals.

Let food be thy medicine. It works.

Yeah, we've been looking into keto. Never put two and two together with hydrate and cabro-hydrate. Tnx for all your help!

People that are 30 or more pounds overweight can often lose 10lbs in a week or two. Obviously any calorie restriction will lead to fat loss, but usually you can only realistically lose a pound or two of fat a week, but when your body starts dropping all that bloat, your dad will feel better in a relatively quick matter of time! (This all assumes that releasing some bloat will help lower any chronic inflammation that could be bothering him.)

+1 for being open to advice. You'll learn much and you'll be able to pay it forward in due time.

Rooting for you & your pops. Keep us posted.

Try collagen, you might be surprised on the pain front. It looks like it has promise, in general, but one of the things that struck me was that supplementing with it increases levels of collagen in the body sure, but it also seems to encourage the body to make more. I dont think it necessarily grows cartillage back for example, but seems to have some sort of buffering effect that helps with pain.

I am going to be giving it a go myself for my knees soon.

My wife has health issues and has a lot of pain in her joints. She takes collagen every day. She has been taking it for about 9 months now every day and has noticed substantial improvement in her joint pain. This has definitely helped her.

ive experimented with TB500 and BPC157 with a lot of good results for my shoulder, that with controlling the inflammation with turmeric / circumin....... and some MSM, glucosamine, chondroitin and fish oil

Might not be the best thing for the patient’s blood vessels.

Decca will only mask the underlying issue resulting in further damage to the area.. your best bet is to seek medical advice .. rest .. ice.. ibuprofen

Use something for joints or pain meds man. Steroids sre not for pain management. People try to use them for everything. Like cialis for preworkout. We have pain meds so why use something else. Its like trying to find a new way to move your car when we already have wheels just use the wheels.

give TB500 a try !

I have read a lot of good reviews on TB500, only problem I guess is to get a decent quality one.

I was thinking the same thing! Cleared up a bad case of tendonitis in my elbow.
Worth a shot anyway.

All ive used is glucosamine and omega 3 6 and 9. I dont knownif i spelled it correctly. I noticed a difference. Not a miracle cure though. Im 100% sure there has to be better supppement combinations for it.

alljaktup's picture

Yeah, he does take fish oil. Tnx

PPGfreak's picture

Well it’s not a pain killer so my answer is NO!

We have multiple different types of joint repair supplements available to us. Using a steroid for that job year round is ridiculous.

Exactly!

Just in general like what you guys use to help. The Dr just keeps giving him cortisone shots which I think are making it worse. Western medicine sux. Tnx

giardap's picture

He is asking what the problem is. worn cartillage, damaged tendons, arthritis, etc?

Makwa's picture

Are you a trt patient?

alljaktup's picture

My father is and they have him on low deca for pain. Not sure why but he says his knees hurt less.

Just a suggestion: It may be worth double checking that the docs are actually using Decadurabolin, or nandrolone deconate, and NOT Dex or Dexa (Dexamethasone) as they are entirely different type/class of steroids, but somehow often confused even in clinics.

As for the thoughts on using the anabolic classed Deca: It helps in reducing joint pain by displacing the more catabolic cortisol and replacing it with an anabolic analogue that has anti-inflammatory properties, which has been shown clinically to decrease pain associated with connective tissue problems and moderate to severe joint pain. It is also thought to increase (ever so slightly) the amount of synovial fluid (lubrication) contained within the joint space, which will have positive effects in those with osteoarthritis, most common for the knee.
