Just started TRT

ad

Hi I’m 42 and just started TRT 2 weeks ago Cyp 100mg every Sunday

I just checked my las 3 blood test ove a year and in all 3 testosterone levels are different

1st one was 204. Free testosterone 47 sex hormone 32

2nd one 3 month later. 406 free testosterone 74. Estradiol 37

3rd one 3 weeks ago test 300

Talk to doctor told him that I’m tired all the time and training is not the same as I used to and libido is low

Ask him about TRT if I should and he prescribes me

So now I’m not sure if I should or needed because all my 3 tests are different all wore done in a morning

Just little scared that I will have to do this for the rest of my life and not sure will it be beneficial or will it be more harm in a long run

If someone have more experience in this and suggestion I’ll appreciate

Thank you

test will vary up or down by a hundred points depending on which way the wind is blowing, so nothing necessarily off with your results per se.

However, 200-400 SUCKS. That is absolutely in the red zone. Lets assume an average of 300, well that's TRT world. But, why not try a restart therapy first? Better that if it can work than a life of needles.

Restart therapy is easy to figure out and do if you have the money. Better if done with a knowledgeable endo (not a sh!tty GP/MD/PCP) though. So it all depends on what is available to you, and it is best if you find that knowledgeable endo who has a genuine expertise in not just TRT but all of the new thinking on restart therapies too. Up to you to find him though.

Restart therapy. I've never heard it called that, but that should be a sticky all to itself. (I didn't have any clue that it was an option when I first looked into TRT. Peeps can say that I "didn't ask around" enough, but the truth is, I didn't know WHAT to ask about it cuz I didn't even know that the concept existed.)

I might do a little surfing on ol' eroids to see if someone has already put together a thread with that title.

Ironically, it is a new enough concept brother ZM!

I read of it on the publication from one of the world endo meetings. Let me see if I can find this for you. My HCG post comes close to describing it, at least from a HCG perspective. Clomid is the other avenue.

Yeah so some TRT clinics, the more serious/advanced ones are realising that for some men, there are other options. Let me see if I can get the publication for you....

Your asking for medical advice man, really gotta refer to your doc on this one. If he’s just handing out scripts though he may not be a very good doctor. It’s a huge decision to go on trt and he should have discussed all the downsides with you as well. Maybe get a second opinion or talk to an endo.

Good luck brother

+1 Thats definetely the talk that needs to he had with a doctor.

To OP Everyone’s body is different. Everyone is at a different point in their lives and in different situations as well. You need to weigh out the positives and negatives and figure out if its going make your daily life better. All in all this is a decision you need to make with your doctor.

Id try and find someone who is willing to talk to you about it. You gotta remember your paying the doctor and they work for you. Learn as much as you can about trt/hrt and then write down all your questions and concerns. make an appointment to discuss everything you have written down and then go from there.
