+ 1 Erection problems.

ad

I´ve had these erection problems since 26 years old. Im 47 now. Cialis and Viagra have helped in the past but not that much anymore. Testosterone has always been lowish but in the normal range, I´m in Scandinavia and here the range is counted from 10 to 38. I´ve been tested , i think 6 times now over the period of nearly 20 years and usually my levels have been around 12-13. For the past year or so its been almost impossible to have a sustainable hard on. I might get it up but not longer than max 1 minute, and thats it. Cialis helps a bit but just not enough. Finally now i went to a specialist and these are my test results. Am i right to say theres nothing in my lab results that explains the cause of my problems besides possibly low testosterone levels? Never been on TRT before, i did low LGD-4033 4 mg/day cycle for a six weeks but discontinued 6 weeks before bloods were drawn. My test levels are even slightly higher than before but problems are worse now.

You're on the low end of LH and FSH, so there's a lot of good advice given below but you might want to consider HCG to raise these levels and see if there's any improvement. HCG 2000-2500 IU's 3x/wk. If you throw in a lil DHEA it may help the HCG work even better.

Do that again and I solemnly declare and promise that I shall have to ban you from posting here.

Are your arteries clogged? No blood=no boner!
You sound like me at that age.
At 56, I had a heart attack. THEN we knew what the problem was.

Does heart disease run in your family?
My father died of a heart attack at 56. I made it to 57 and survived.
It's amazing how genetic that shit is.

Get checked, Bro.

This can get deep. This most likely a head/woman thing. Can you Jk off ok?

Looks to me like your pituitary isn't putting out what it should. FSH is low and so is LH. so your body isn't making Test so that's why your Test level is low.

As I type this, the OP hasn't logged onto eroids for about five months. However, if OP comes back, I'm requesting an update, please!

zeusmarada's picture

It was May when I posted this original plea for an update. It's now October (2018). I'm not holding my breath, but if the OP still comes back, I'm still requesting that update.

I've taken anti-depression and anxiety meds which both had an effect on performance in the bedroom. You could always get a second opinion from another doctor. Goodluck mate.

Stress and anxiety will kill you're wood my friend. I can be rock hard and in the middle of mind blowing head or sex and my mind can briefly slip away to something that has been causing me stress or anxiety and bam he's gone and nothing I or she can do will bring him back the rest of the night. Or if I even for a second worry if she is enjoying it of getting off then he's gone. Stress and anxiety will reek havoc on your sex life my friend. If it is a stress or a anxiety related problem you've got to get that taken care of or you will never fix that area of issue. Good luck friend I know just how bad of a problem it can be and the hardship it can put on a relationship.

Thank you. I remember before these problems accured, I never had any negative affect on my erection quality no matter what happens. My friend died, i felt lonely, I felt depressed I overused alcohol but nothing. I was solid hard all the time as much as I wanted. But then I was a young man and I shouldn't compare myself to that anymore.

There are 2 reasons: You're aging, ballsack. And; Your aging ballsack.

I've had the same problem in the past due to stress and anxiety, and once I put the actual problem aside things started to get better, when you focus on the problem it gets worse and causes more anxiety and the problem does not go away, take it easy bud things will work out trust me.

Worrying about it woulnt help. If it happens just go down on her and forget about it. See what happens. You might be surprised. Take the pressure off yourself.

Unfortunately so many women seem to be so much centered round erection performance these days :D..at least the women ive met. Cant blame them for it though.

Not a smoker, never been. Used to drink a bit when i was younger but for the last 15 years or so almost never. Probably like 7-10 beers total in one year. BF could be lower ofcorse but i'm not overweight. 6'3 and 215 pounds. Blood pressure is ~138/85. Stress is there but nothing that makes me lose a night's sleep. No medication exept low dose Bisoprolol occasionally when I get heart palpitations. I have a healthy lifestyle so no drugs either and that's the way it's been for the most part. There might be some problem with the blood flow in so that it won't stay in there as it should stay when getting aroused as my doctor explained. However that requires an ultrasound that costs a lot of money(+800 euro's ). So that will be my last option to figure what's causing these problems. Problem is that even TRT is now very difficult to get these days in here even when the doctors want to perscipe it to their patients their not allowed to do so. I'll just probably have to get it from some ug lab eventually and try if that helps.

Ironman395's picture

Might wanna try a few 5000IU amps of HCG for some erection help. Although, it will only be temporary.

There might be some problem with the blood flow in so that it won't stay in there as it should stay when getting aroused as my doctor explained.

You better get that checked out and confirmed before you try and self medicate with trt. Just going to make things worse if you actually don't need trt.

My test levels are even slightly higher than before but problems are worse now.

Again, self-prescribed trt is not the best option here. You have something going on so if maintaining an erection is that important you actually better fork out the cash and take you docs advice and get that MRI to narrow down the problem

ballsack's picture

Yeah,I think you''re right, might have to do it then as much as I hate losing that money if he doesn't find any problems there. Worst thing will be that there is no reason they can find.

Speaking of drinking, how has your alcohol intake been throughout your adult life? Anything to be concerned with?

helloBrooklyn's picture

The time you’ve had erection problems is old enough to drink, and you’re taking this to us? I’d suggest consulting a medical doctor. That means walking into an office and having a vis-à-vis, not browsing pubmed.

Nice nom de plume, though.

ballsack's picture

I do have a doctors appointment but it's still a month and a half away as he's getting a surgery and will be out for a month from work. Just got these results I posted.

What is your Blood pressure? How high is your bodyfat? Is something stressing you out more?

Sam I Am's picture

Are you a smoker? Circulation problems sometimes can cause this as well as hardened arteries. Certain medications and alcohol as well.
