Anyone suffer from low shbg?

ad

I'm 41 years old. I've been on trt since I was about 39 or 38. My sex hormone-binding globulin is now so low that I can't even run a cycle or anything. If I get my androgens too high, the Unbound estrogen go straight to my nips. From what I've read, sex hormone-binding globulin is manufactured in the liver, and the testes. When we go on trt, the sex hormone-binding globulin that is manufactured in the testes, essentially goes away. I've been taking berberine, which helps with liver function. It seems to have helped a little bit. I haven't gotten Bloods since berberinng, but I have noticed that my nips aren't itchy, quite as bad. I'm about to start a regular dosing protocol of Tribulus to see if I can't get a small amount of testicular function going 2 create a byproduct of an elevated sex hormone-binding globulin. If that doesn't work, I'm going to microdose Clomid

Whenever mine is really low I find Stano Injectable really good for raising it believe it or not, mind you winstrol is known for helping raise levels I guess. I end up waking up with boners left and right when I'm using that stuff. Infact I might just buy some this week lol

I think I am missing something here. What does SHBG have to do with estrogen. Typically we want low SHBG because then it isn't binding up free testosterone and free test is what does the work here. That is the premise of provi. Lowers SHBG and frees up more test to rev up the cycle.

Real low crashes libido, well being, energy and pretty much negates the positives of trt. It also binds estrogen. All the estrogen runs free as well.

Wrong. Lower then 10nl goes along with low testosterone levels which has no effect on libido in itself or energy or any positive of trt. Its the low levels of testosterone COMBINED with low shbg. Males have always had low shbg and it increases with age and obesity as well as insulin resistance and hyperthyroidism. This talks about shbg and even thought mets is discussed it will show you graphs and age groups of where the issues arise.

I was not aware of that. Do you have your bloodwork you can post up so we can see the bigger picture?

Are you diabetic?

Greaki's picture

Yes it can affect shbg negatively.

No sir

So if you’re on TRT and have this issue why doesn’t your endo just pop you on an AI. What am I missing?

Stankyleg's picture

My estrogen isn't high. An ai would lower my shbg further.

Right gotcha. This is a weird and a new one for me. Learn something new everyday. Seems like a serm is your option. Nolva or ralox that binds well to E2 receptors in breast tissues seem slike the logical thing to do but what does your endo say. After all he’s the expert here and best placed to provide advice.

If you are injecting test then you are just pissing in the wind doing that

So skip that and go with low dose clomid? It raises shbg real well. So does tamoxifen, but it's bad on your liver.

..then don't run aas.
