+ 1 Anyone ever use or hear H.C.G . for weight loss?

ad

Theres a rejuvenation clinic next to my office and i was talking to someone from there and he mentioned that they put people on a h.c.g. regimen for weigh loss. Im 5'9 and 240 and seriously need to drop 50 lbs. Right now im just dieting and tredmill 2x a day. Im losing but im definately interested. I thought h.c.g was to turn your balls back on. Does anyone have any experience they could share?

The reason why the HCG diet rarely works for most (post diet) is because of the ridiculously low caloric intake the require you to be on.

500 calories per day plus some HCG with the hopes that the HCG will help maintain the muscle since your caloric intake is dangerously low.

Its not rocket science in that reducing ones calories beyond the level of sanity will cause some rapid weight loss but what they don't tell you is that it is not necessarily FAT LOSS.

Big difference.

Weight loss scams/diets are all about combined weight totals with little worry as to whether it is just water, muscle and then fat as opposed to FAT LOSS methods that will reduce mostly just fat.

For your concern you would want to know what your daily caloric intake has been, what you require to function normally (everyone is different) BMR and a few other factors that a PROFESSIONAL can help you with so as to determine how many calories you can reduce SAFELY to begin dropping FAT.

A rule of thumb is reducing 500cal/day which in a week will be 3500cals and equal 1lb of weight loss.

Your nutrition choices, resistance training and the addition of some cardio will all play a role in helping you to reduce FAT versus just dropping weight.

Most who start a weight loss program will easily drop 3-6lbs/week for the first few weeks (this is WATER weight) and then it should stabilize to a safer 1-2lbs/week if the focus is fat loss versus just dropping any kind of weight (more water/muscle) for the sake of the scale rather than health.

Again, the primary reason HCG was added to such a ridiculously low calorie protocol ie: The HCG diet was with the hopes of maintaining muscle during this full destruction to the body version of weight loss.

I will state that I've worked successfully with clients in the past where we discussed a version of the HCG diet (using the HCG) but placing them on a calorie reduced meal plan that was safe and would allow for resistance training to be done.

The results were fantastic in comparison as they dropped mostly fat, enhanced their musculature which got more toned/shapely while also keeping the primary focus on point...Optimal HEALTH.

These clients were female.

Hope this helps.

For Men, I discuss with mine getting blood work from the age of 30+ to see if they are deficient in any hormones in particular Testosterone. If so, discussing with their doctor or an HRT clinic that will put them on a safe HRT/TRT program as that will be far more effective for a male than hoping HCG works. That along with a customized meal, resistance training and recovery program will get the results desired

That HCG diet is for chicks and is a trash gimmick anyways. But it wouldn’t even work for dudes. I don’t think you could trick your body into thinking it’s pregnant...

Learn how to eat.

Got obese at age 6. unknown reason. parents had me at every weight loss dr. within 60 miles. got lots of hcg injections. I think they are worthless. now the 500 k, 800 k, 1200k diets I was on for 6 years takes the fat off, along with your muscle. obvious I had a physical problem but I didn't change till weightlifting and later juice and chemicals. sounds like I am ranting. guess I am.
anyway, hcg is great for starting the nuts again. for weight loss it sucks.

I've used it in the past for 3 months and until I started hitting cario noticed no change at all. 30 days on HCG no noticeable loss of body fat. The last 60 days I used HCG just to finish up what I had and hit the stairmaster for 30 to 45 minutes five days a week. I noticed significant body fat. I won't try HCG again.

I've used HGH but still hit cardio and noticed the body fat continue to drop.

Treadmill twice a week won't get it done even if your running. 3+ days a week on the stairmaster and only one cheat mill per week. I promise you'll see significant loss of body fat.

I tried it a couple years ago . It was really harsh. Besides pining every day you can only consume 500 calories per day. And supposedly you are not supposed to work out. You can lose 1-2 lbs a day. But man it was brutal . I got headaches. Felt empty. I lost a quick 10 lbs. But stopped early. Could not hang.

Carbs are not your enemy, sugar is. Drop processed foods and sugary drinks and snacks and you will drop weight fast. Everything nowadays is filled with sugar. I replaced sugar with Truvia and will not look back. I dropped weight and got much leaner muscle in the process. The hcg diet was a fast fad that failed because it was the severe drop in calories that was causing the weight loss not the drug.

Truth, carbs are not the enemy if timed right. People need to learn the glycemic index of carbs and get a good understanding of the differences between them. Even going from processed pasta (which I tend to eat a ton of) while on a bulk to whole wheat or brown rice, Farro, etc pasta made a huge difference for me. I ended up substituting sugar with raw honey for the few times I need sugar.

IrishMack's picture

Yes honey is the best alternative as long as you buy fresh from the market amd unfiltered. Most of the ones in the store have been so processed none of the benefits are left. I love honey, I try and have one teaspoon a day

The Impastable's picture

Where I live now we get that local, raw, unfiltered, and unpasteurized honey. Store bought honey can go kick rocks as this stuff blows it out of the water in terms of taste and texture... May have to get a bunch and brew some old school mead with all that bacteria in it as I've been reading about the health benefits of mead made with raw honey.... Mmmmm...

Same goes for milk, it's double the price for raw milk but my fucking God is it delicious... Doesn't have that sweet taste store bought milk does. I'm convinced they sweeten milk...

Makwa's picture

Lately, I have been using organic honey that has been fortified with royal jelly. Good stuff.

The Impastable's picture

I had to look up what that was! Never even knew you could add that stuff into honey.

Makwa's picture

I also buy the pure Royal jelly. The good stuff is expensive but a little dab will do ya. Goes a long ways. I'll put a 1/2 teas in a shake or just lick it off the spoon and reap the benefits from it

IrishMack's picture

They do, look at how much sugar is in an 8 ounce serving 14 grams for 1%. 11 for whole milk. They say its lactose sugar so its not bad lol. Where I live there are a ton of bee farms so I get wildflower unfiltered and I also buy the honeycomb. I swear ever since I started eating more honey my allergies have dissappeared.

The Impastable's picture

My pops would always tell me raw honey was better than any allergy medicine out there. I thought he was a quack but my allergies have also subsided since incorporating honey so there definitely has to be something there. Not that I'll ever admit he was right Lmao.

The raw milk I get has zero sugar. It's literally bottled straight from the teet, and I can't say I miss the "added lactose sugar"

IrishMack's picture

Raw milk is an acquired taste. Ever try goats milk or sheeps? That taste if you havent before will give your tongue nightmares.

DragonDog's picture

I've had fermented raw horse milk. I couldn't really stomach it, but I know people who drink it every day.

The Impastable's picture

There's definitely lots of benefits of raw milks, especially fermented ones. Mostly good probiotic bacteria.

The Impastable's picture

I have tried each once and never again. Lmao

Ya. The protcol is extreme, 500 calories a day, like 4oz of meat a day is the diet you follow while on it. People drop weight fast with it but it's not sustainable at all. As soon as you to back to a normal diet it all comes back. It's best to do things slowly so you body isn't shocked and gets used to it. Find a good diet, limit carbs to times where you actually need them. There really no reason to be eating carbs unless you need them for fuel. To eat them and then go sit at a desk all day doesn't make a lot of sense. Keep your food sources clean and really limit your carbs and I think you'll have great results. Do some form of cardio for 30 mins 4-6 times a week also. That's all you need to do. Really gotta change your lifestyle. Don't think of it as a diet, think of it as your new lifestyle. My dad did exactly what I just described and he went from 240-250-195 over about 6 months. And he's kept it off for close to 6 years now. He really hammers the cardio now though as he enjoys it. he runs like a 7 minute pace per mile now running 3-4 at a time at 57 years old.

Muffins's picture

Guess what your diet gets to be with that, less than 1k calories a day. What do you think is really causing the weight loss?

DragonDog's picture

HCG will raise your testosterone, so I guess it is possible. When I was on a doctor prescribed fertility cycle, I was taking 5000IU eod, and my test was around 500. Keep in mind, my test is zero without gear. Regardless, the HCG diet is bullshit.

Thankyou. Nothing beats hard work. It will be a tremendous recovery. Ill probably feel better this way.

my boss did it. nothing happened. that was like 4 years ago. he looks the same to this day

I have heard it... there are wiser ways to go about weight loss

Regular cardio and a healthy calorie deficit is the best way to go.

Hcg for weight loss is a lie its supposed to trick a woman's body into thinking its pregnant and then causing the body to use more of the stored fat. It was a failed and flawed study that its based on. I wish I had the link to the study that they base it on. They give you hcg at 250iu a day and your supposed to eat 500 calories a day. Do you really think its the hcg or the deficient calories? Don't do it, its a scam

I'm 5'9 and was at 240lb (go look at my pictures). I dropped the weight I wanted the correct way and then started putting on muscle. HCG for weight loss is a con and a fad that ended a couple years ago....

cat365's picture

So you recommend straight up hard work and diet?

PPGfreak's picture

Yes of course, that's what people have been doing for as long as I can think of and haven't had any issues. It's 90% diet/food intake and everyone knows that. HCG won't mean anything if your diet is shit. Like I said, look at my pictures and you'll realize I know what I'm talking about.

No be lazy and eat KFC.... seriously ? hard work and a good diet is the most important thing !!
