Workout music

ad

What genre/artists of music do you listen to when working out?
I know there’s a lot of people from around the world on this forum so I’m excited to learn about new bands!
I’ve always liked Metallica, who the hell doesn't ...
But lately I’ve really been diggin some Motley Crue and 80’s hair metal...thanks for the input fellas.

Katy Perry and, the Monkeys. ...yes, I'm a believer. Hear me roar :-P

Slayer, Megadeth, Metallica, Lamb of God. Helps fuel intense workouts.

Slipknot, Tool, Rage Against The Machine, Muse, Godsmack, Metallica, Guns and Roses for lifting among others. I like to switch it up so I don’t get burned out. Alice In Chains, Linkin Park, and others like that for cardio

That is my favorite out of all their songs. But people that detasseled corn for me in my crew called me the rooster because it was one of the songs on a 90 min cassette tape I had that we listened to over and over while we drove around to different fields or were taking a break lol.

Ya know there was not a workout that went by where I didn't have my Metalcore on - Killswitch engage, Five Finger, Trivium, 3 Quarters Dead etc Every single lift I would get psyched up to my current favourite song but then it was really weird - as if by overnight I just wanted to lift in absolute silence. All I wanted in my mind was how I was going to attack each stage of the lift with no ounce of distraction at all. Its been like that for the past 2 years now and I can't see me changing my ways Lol Kinda sad really but I just find it better. Maybe I would be different if lifting in a gym with crap music on.

I understand that for sure!! My gym plays shitty loud music for the Zumba classes and it’s so crowded it’s chaotic...headphones drowned it out and help me to focus...I wish my old gym would open back up, it was quiet and hardly anyone was ever there...the eye candy at the new gym is nice tho

Rickb's picture

Metal is always great for the intensity.

But while my Spotify was on shuffle the offspring came on. my god. The energy that the punk riffs gave me was great.

PhillyMelvin_Smelvin's picture

Ima check out sum old punk rock that’s a good idea...really liked sublime back in the day

blackjack115's picture

Old school rap, Metal, Hard rock, Alternative elctronic genres. I listen to loads of different stuff depending on my mood, but if i'm going for a pr it definitely needs to be hard angry music.

PhillyMelvin_Smelvin's picture
