Love me some tattoos, I did around 30 hours in 3 days back to back just recently and then another 16 hours 2 weeks later. I take care of them the best I can but some spots, it's just impossible.

I am a tattooist, I still occasionally tattoo part time.
The best advice I can give is to start anti biotics two day before your sitting and continue the course until done, anti bacterial hand soap to wash it in shower and antiseptic cream 3 times a day but don't drown it. Gotta let it dry a bit. Never use your towel on it let it air dry.
I'm 33 been getting tattoos since I was 16 I have most of my body done, neck, hands, fingers, head, sleeves, chest, legs, back etc etc.

Head fucking hurts like fuckery! Seriously the worst pain I ever experiencced in my life and it hurt for two weeks after.

Never took much notice on the healing side and it hasn’t done harm to any of my ink. The important part is use an artist who knows what he’s doing.

Yeah if they aren't heavy handed its not bad. I have several. My chest piece was the worst. 7 hours. On the low side i kept having to stop him and look. Felt like he was on my nipple. It goes up on my neck. That wasnt too bad.

Need to see this beast bro! I’ve had a full day on my chest and the pain wasn’t as bad as yours. Everybody is different, my elbow killed the most.

I'm inked at my complete upper body including arms and on my calves. So i had to take care about my tattoo healing for many, many times and hours. The best results I've had with the following schedule:

Day 1 panthenol cream from pharmacy (should be a thin one)

Day 2 - 5 pegasus-pro tattoo cream. Includes panthenol, cajuput oil, wheat germ oil.

Day 6 - ... moisturizing lotion, preferred garnier or nivea.

But there's another nice one, which I've got recommended from a tattoo artist. I've tried it out and can recommend for smaller tattoos. "Suprasorb F" foil from L&R. Just google it, your tattoo is healing without any creams. Works pretty good and after a few days when it's pulled off, you just have to use a good lotion. But don't use it for bigger tattoos or in summer, or you will have your tattoo swimming in your sweat Smile

But this is just my own experience and i know many guys with various types of skin care products after getting a new tattoo. They all work, if you do it right. It mostly depends on straight taking care about your tattoo! Don't let it dry out, avoid sun, skip workout for a few days etc...

Ol school, they have stuff that smells better these days. I used this stuff called "After Ink" recently. It goes on like lotion and doesn't leave a residue or sticky. It's the bomb diggity
