McGregor...Respect
As some of you may know...I’m not a fan of Connor McGregor. I’ve always thought he was all hype/talk, and not even close to the Champion the Irish put him up as.
Don’t get me wrong...he is a bad man compared to 99.999% of human beings, but I’ve never thought that he even came close to Goat status.
He’s fun to watch but after Diaz beat him and I saw the heart drain from his eyes I totally believed that he would never be a GOAT.
I think we all saw that as he really took in a major ass kicking by Khabib on Saturday.
That being said...
After all the craziness, and classless action of Khabib and his crew. (The cheap shots were sickening).
When it was all said and done...McGregor refused to press charges...That showed me what kind of a man he is. That in my opinion, was a true badass gangster move and I respect the shit out of that guy for doing that.
In a world ruled by big money and bitch moves, the Irish man took the high road, and I respect the hell out of it.

StevebThey're both getting suspended
I agree , pressing charges would have been a shit bag thing to do. After all the shit talking I'd understand why they would be attacking me and wouldn't take it to heart. Plus he knows the best way to let all the bullshit blow over is to say hey they didn't really do anything to me it was a fight let it go.
jayiskPressing charges is a fag move..,no homo
shit look at the National Hockey League they wouldn't even press charges when a player attacks another one with a hockey stick while the player has his helmet knocked off. sliced face and all. love a sport that isnt MMA that fist fighting is part of the game.
i don’t think he didn’t press charges because he’s such a stand up guy. he didn’t because it won’t be beneficial and it would ruin his over inflated ego and reputation and make him look like an even bigger bitch
nope, you;re wrong about the reasons about why he didn't press charges.
It's a cultural thing. Where he is from, the people he grew up with (some dead in the cartel wars) you literally do not talk to the law. It just doesn't happen.
I'll believe the guy from his neck of the woods.. Makes sense to me bro.
Loose lips sink ships and all that.
Lol. After The new videos came out, it was pretty evident that McTapper threw the first punch on Khabib’s cousin. Hindsight, I’m thinking he was just trying to get it all to go away before NSAC caught up with him.
Harsh...but farkin' true.
well said
X2
Amen.
RustyhookerWatching mcgregor trash talk used to get me fired up. Especially when he was fighting against the guys i liked as fighters. Then hed get down to business and was impressive to watch. Mcgregor is that love hate deal for me. Kinda like the first time watching ct fletchers 'i command you to grow' video. Fires me up and dont know why but go i back for more.
StevebYeah it's good he didn't press charges but the way Dana White plays favorites with him is very annoying
It's his cash cow lol.
Man it’s just bullshit khabib did that for a reason he has been told to do that so they can do rematch ( Business move) all about money it’s just my opinion
Probably right. They gotta build the hype for the next match.
Yup its all business plus the only reason mcnugget didnt press charges is because if you re watch the incident closely he threw a cheap shot over the fence first at on of khabibs team members only then they came in to get him.
All in all I was glad to see him lose because he opens his mouth and talks more shit than anyone. I don’t think it’s ever OK to take cheap shots so it made me lose respect for the winter. Either way it was a good fight and put him in his place.
I definitely agree with all that.
The true winner was the dude that ripped his pants off, and was all winded talking about doing cardio.
If that wasn’t some tren induced shit.......
"my balls were hot"
LOL
It screams tren to me.
Overheating... check.
Depleted cardio.... check.
Feeling the need to smoke weed with dana white...
Check.
Pretty sure they test these guys. Not saying you are wrong but.
What i said was a quote from him after the fight, he literally told Joe Rogan he took his pants off because his balls were hot.
https://youtu.be/OL7kqYzMmFk. Funny stuff for sure.
Word..
Alright ED now finish the Mexico story!
Lol. It’s coming.
In this part of Dublin, where McGregor is from, you get clipped for talking to the filth. He would never press charges on anyone.
Yeah bro.. that completely changed my mind on the guy. Huge respect for guys like that.
During the fight apparently he apologized to Khabib and said it’s just business. He’s flava flav bro. His thing is to hype the fight sell tickets and ppv to grow his check and the opponents check while growing the sport. It’s worked like a fucking charm. He’s by far the most charasmatic fighter in the game. I’m torn because part of my wants to see him get fucked up while the other part of me is fully entertained.
"The Irishman can be heard saying to his opponent: “It’s only business.”
The Russian then replies: “I guess so.”
Not an apology - just a statement of fact.
Yeah bro. He makes me want to watch his fights and I don’t even like him. Lol
Yea I agree
He also did better than I expected after a two year lay off. Hes probably not even serious about the shit he says. Just selling the fight. I did enjoy watching him get his ass kicked but I'm sure hes laughing all the way to the bank.
Good on him. He deserved every dollar he makes.
Sam his payday on the Mayweather fight was $30 million. He's been laughing
I thought he made $100mil for the mayweather fight?
No doubt and I'm certain Mayweather carried him. That's alot of money. Hopefully he saves some.
I agree on both counts. Seen to many pro athletes go broke.
I said in Pale's forum earlier as much as I dislike the guy....I agree
